Alleged killer of Tupac arrested - pally - 09-29-2023 After 27 years, the LV Police has announced the arrest of the person they believe was the master mind behind the killing of rapper Tupac Shakur. Duane Keith Davis, 60, also known as “Keefy D” or “Keffe D has been charged with the murder https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/tupac-shakur-investigation-las-vegas-police-arrest-person-was-subject-rcna118100 "Shakur's murder was sparked by a fight earlier that night when the rapper and Death Row Records founder Suge Knight roughed up Anderson inside the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino after a Mike Tyson boxing match, officials said." Davis's nephew Orlando Anderson is believed to have been the actual hitman. Of the 4 people thought to have been on that car in 1996, Davis is the last survivor RE: Alleged killer of Tupac arrested - SunsetBengal - 09-29-2023 Can't they just release the name, and let street justice take it's course? I mean now the taxpayers are going to be funding healthcare for an aging murderer for the rest of his literal life.. He has spoken openly about being in the car when shots were fired. I think that is what ultimately led to his arrest here. Do they think he’s the trigger man or did they just actually piece together enough evidence to arrest him and have him complicit in the whole thing? I read a couple stories but neither was really explicit in what the charges were. He was indicted for murder with use of a deadly weapon, so I think they are believing he is the trigger man, unless you can be convicted of this crime while only being complicit in a crime. For a long time, the suspected trigger man was Orlando Anderson, who was killed in 1998. Orlando was Keefe's nephew, and had beef with Tupac. The night of the shooting, Tupac and his entourage beat the hell out of Anderson. The story then goes that Keefe got these guys together with a gun, hopped in the car and set out to find Knight and Tupac. At some point, Keefe handed the gun to someone in the back seat - Orlando Anderson or Deandre Smith. When they pulled up next to Tupac's car, gunfire erupted from the back seat and they drove off. Keefe was sitting in the front passenger seat. Over the years, there have been some witness accounts saying that the arm that shot the weapon was a bulky arm, not skinny, suggesting it wasn't Anderson or Smith. However, I think most of the evidence from what I have read suggests that Orlando is the one who pulled the trigger. Maybe this trial will give some clarity there. RE: Alleged killer of Tupac arrested - Summerall-Madden - 09-30-2023 Well this is really something if the murder can be solved. It has been a cold case really far too long. IMHO if I was in law enforcement a little off topic here sorry. I would want to work in the cold case unit. |
