Should we run a max protect offense next year - Bengalfan4life27c - 12-06-2023 Even with Chase and Tee being doubled with an extra 2 to 3 seconds should give them both more time to effectively beat a double team. Max protect means Burrow takes less sacks and hits and we have extra blocker in run game for screens and draws. RE: Should we run a max protect offense next year - SladeX - 12-06-2023 Our staff and QB have much to discuss this offseason. I have no idea how much they or if the staff “caters to “ Joe, but obviously would want to tailor it to his strengths, and weaknesses, even if some of this goes against Joes preferences. More max protect, under center, play action etc might actually serve joe better, especially in the long term, even if it neans he needs to get outside of his comfort zone. RE: Should we run a max protect offense next year - WeezyBengal - 12-06-2023 You can run max protect all you want, but if you don't have the blockers to run it then its worthless. Sample is the only skill guy out there than can block effectively. RE: Should we run a max protect offense next year - Wyche'sWarrior - 12-06-2023 They need to do it more....but not necessarily the focus of the offense. |
