future of the onside kick - kalibengal - 05-06-2024

With the new kickoff rule, assuming it stays similar to before...why wouldn't teams try onside kicks almost everytime now?
I havent read the rule but I have to assume that there are new rules in place, i.e. if you attempt and fail the receiving team gets ball on your 35 yd line or something like that

Outside kicks are basically how they are now but only in the 4th quarter by the trailing team and they have too announce before hand
I believe they added back the ability to overload one side for recovery.

So risk of failure is still high same reason you dont see teams going for it all the time now. cause it isnt madden
