Willie Anderson Says Mims Will Be A Monster! - BFritz21 - 07-29-2024 Willie Anderson was at training camp and had some encouraging words about Mims, saying that he'll "be a monster once he puts it all together! Nice to see Mims stepping in while Brown is sidelines and impressing a Hall of Fame! Love that Mims is getting these valuable reps early on to keep him up-to-speed! That wasn't too flashy or anything but Mims looks good! This gives me faith that we have our right tackle spot locked down for the future if Mims keeps improving! WHO-DEY! RE: Willie Anderson Says Mims Will Be A Monster! - ochocincos - 07-29-2024 Meh. Anderson also gave his stamp of approval on Jackson Carman, and look how he's turned out. https://www.si.com/nfl/bengals/news/willie-anderson-gives-stamp-of-approval-on-second-round-pick-jackson-carman I'm hopeful for Mims, but I don't particularly think any former player's positive quotes mean much of anything. I'll believe it when we see it. It would be great to have an All Pro tackle. Orlando Brown (He is a Sooner LOL) is not a top 10 LT. Karras & Cappa not All Pro. The OL hasn’t been any better than average for a number of years. Sometimes worse than average. I don’t know if it’s poor evaluation, development, or drafting but they’ve missed the mark. Personally I’m not a Pollack guy. Agreed RE: Willie Anderson Says Mims Will Be A Monster! - GodFather - 07-29-2024 Anderson has also alluded to the fact we are re-signing Chase on Tuesday but he cant ruin the big surprise.. I take what he says with a grain of salt RE: Willie Anderson Says Mims Will Be A Monster! - burreauxs - 07-29-2024 (07-29-2024, 03:25 PM)GodFather Wrote: Anderson has also alluded to the fact we are re-signing Chase on Tuesday but he cant ruin the big surprise.. I think he was referring to the locker room and training room renos RE: Willie Anderson Says Mims Will Be A Monster! - XenoMorph - 07-29-2024 i just hope he can play a full season worth of snaps..... he seemed very limited in college looking at total numbers RE: Willie Anderson Says Mims Will Be A Monster! - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 07-29-2024 Of course I am excited about Mims, but I am with others and taking what Willie says with a grain of salt here. Mims is still a rookie with not a ton of snaps in college. He should struggle some like any rookie. Dude is a monster though that is for sure and has great balance and strength with good hands and quick feet. He has all the intangibles. RE: Willie Anderson Says Mims Will Be A Monster! - rfaulk34 - 07-29-2024 Yeah. Words just don't do it for me. Do something on the field and then we can talk. RE: Willie Anderson Says Mims Will Be A Monster! - Housh - 07-29-2024 Trent better be looking at guard assignments I truly believe Mims win that job and believed that pre injury RE: Willie Anderson Says Mims Will Be A Monster! - Chezaugie - 07-29-2024 The operative words being, "...once he puts it all together!" Translation: "Work in progress." RE: Willie Anderson Says Mims Will Be A Monster! - SunsetBengal - 07-29-2024 At 6'8" and 350+, he's already a monster compared to most humans. Can't wait to see him develop into the next Bengals RT. I was impressed with Mims at practice last week |
