- new scoreboard
-new club viewing area along 50-yard line with patio and  view to the river
-new Hall of Champions
-new South end adding new reception facilities and food hall facing the river
-Mehring Way to be rerouted opening up the west side for a new grass lot for tailgating

They were talking about it just now on 1530 with Mo joking about whether he'll live to see it or not LOL

It looks cool, I must admit.  It will be interesting to see if they can pull it off.

Yeah, I probably won't see this finished in my lifetime. I wonder if they are going to get Paycor to fund some of this, if so, I could see this going thru.

I missed this little tidbit earlier. Central Dr would be closed between the stadium and practice facility making a pedestrian plaza so no one has to cross the street, I hop that makes Pat McAfee happy

Funny, I just looked at it and my first thought was, at least the players won't have to cross the street.

With all the talk of these fancy improvements, I just hope there will be a place for the team's most essential element.

As a New York Bengal fan, I say spare nothing. I want a retractable dome. Spend, spend, spend!Cool

Get ready taxpayers. I remember 25 years ago when all the media mouthpieces were raging about how the City of Cincinnati would literally slide off into the Ohio River if the two new stadiums weren't approved. Remember the sales tax increase?

Will all these lush improvements help the run game on both sides of the line?   Sarcasm

It's interesting because the measure was going to go down to defeat, according to what they were reporting at the time on WLW.   The polling was not looking good.  Then the Browns made their move to Baltimore official in early '96, just right before the vote in March.  That seemed to change some minds.

The Bengals today owe their very existence to the Browns - twice.  If they didn't fire Paul in the '60s he would have never founded the team to begin with.  Then, if they didn't move to Maryland in the '90s the tax increase probably would have failed and Mike might just have picked up and went elsewhere.

"We recently stopped being one of the worst franchises in all of professional sports so we need to give the multi-billionaire (in the league with a $13b/yr in JUST national revenue that is steeply increasing) more of our money so we can not afford to actually attend games in the stadium we pay for due to ever-rising prices and increased focus on club seats over fan seats."

RE: Paycor/Practice Facility Redesign - RegularGuy22 - 09-17-2024

The Browns from  the 60's. I remember that well. Every Sunday Dad and I used to love watching Jim Brown with Frank Ryan and Gary Collins from old Municipal Stadium in Cleveland with then head coach Blanton Collier who took over after Modell fired Paul Brown in 63. Funny but then the Browns were our home team.

RE: Paycor/Practice Facility Redesign - Luvnit2 - 09-17-2024

I am glad Bengals, City and County are forward thinking and making improvements. Yes, club seats are more expensive. There is a catch for the team, they need to continue to win. They go back to the horrible winning franchise of the past; team will have a lot of empty club seats and fans with season tickets will have trouble giving them away.

I love they are upgrading because the NFL has also upgraded TV coverage. The fan who can't afford to come to a game, can have a great game experience at home.

I swear, I have never seen so many people so concerned about grown men, professional athletes at that, being able to cross a street.

That would be good ....and from what has been talked about, the Bengals are supposed to pony up some of the cash too.

Blanton Collier, followed Bear Bryant at UK and then Paul Brown with the Browns..... tough acts to follow.

You say that now, but when Burrow gets hit by a speeding Steeler fan in a brown Pinto, you'll change your tune. Mellow

Or when Burrow's spikes clip the pavement and he seemingly takes a normal tumble but uses his right hand/wrist to brace for the fall. Outcome: Burrow misses 6 to 8 weeks with a wrist injury.  Cry
