No real surprises - casear2727 - 09-24-2024
We do have the very worst defense in the NFL.
We do have fans that are complaining about Burrow and the offense. These fans deserve this defense.
436 Yards Total Offense
312 Passing Yards
124 Rushing Yards
7.3 Yards Per play
33 Points
All of this with the defense getting ZERO stops.
But Burrow isnt good anymore and the offense didnt score enough.

I decided to drive Uber to have some extra money to put into retirement. I will be doing that on Sundays for the foreseeable future. Lou should have been gone after last year. Winners ask themselves where they can improve. They don’t just roll with what they have and hope for better.

Burrow is fine. He’s just getting outshined by a new generation of QB’s as we saw tonight.
There are a number of teams that wouldn’t trade theirs for him.
Which a couple years back you couldn’t say.

Our offense was nearly perfect. A missed FG and a throw at Chase's feet away from scoring 43 points.
The defense was the polar opposite.

We had at least 3-4 guys blaming Burrow and the offense in the game thread at the very end. The lack of knowledge of some posters is embarrassing.
It is so tiring. I think Im going to make a signature listing names so everyone knows exactly who doesn't know ball so they take their comments with a grain of salt.

It’s a tough pill to swallow but there are more star QBs in the league than just Mahomes and Burrow. Y’all living in 2021-22.

Defense starts up front and rhe Bengals have the worst DL in the NFL. We can blame Lou the secondary etc. but it's been 3 weeks and the only DL is Trey Hendrickson.

It is beyond dumb to say anything negative about hte offense or Burrow tonight. It is extremely revealing though.

That wasn’t a direct quote. He added the part about blaming Burrow.
I don’t blame Burrow so I know I never blamed him or the offense this game. If I did I’d say it.

The offense looked better. More balanced and starting to go further down the field. Some throws were a little off but that happens to all QBs.
The defense on the other hand was atrocious. No pressure against a QB noted for poor play under pressure? Yes we were starting practice squadders and a guy with one hand at DT but that does not excuse the horrid DL play. We should have had Davis in there more plays and also been in 4-3 with Njongmeta reinforcing the middle. And yes blitzing a LOT. We played it the worst way possible.

this season is notorious for young qb's playing terribly
