Did anyone post PFF grades? - hoosierbengal - 09-25-2024

I am curious how Mims graded out Monday night.

Mims received a 47.7. He was the second worst player on the offense according to PFF.

Thank you!

Kris Jenkins had a really solid run stop in his 20 snaps and push as a rusher while wearing a club. Zach Carter had 1 run stop and a tackle with very little interior push in 40+ snaps.

I assumed Mims scored poorly, I saw him get beat badly on his first attempt at Pass Pro. Here's to hoping this week is much better

I agree the new guy looked like our best player on the Dline. Hoping he get more snaps this week.

Volson may have finally figured it out.

Hubbard looks done and Ossai never was

WTH is with that Sample pass blocking grade. It’s literally all we ask him to do.

Thks for posting the stats.

RE: Did anyone post PFF grades? - Sled21 - 09-25-2024

Trent Brown had a really nice game going before he got hurt. Volson putting in another solid effort.

RE: Did anyone post PFF grades? - Joelist - 09-25-2024

Jenkins looked as advertised - can't wait to see him two handed. Cedric Johnson also flashed. And yes Volson held his end up again. OTOH, Hubbard, Tufele, ADG and surprisingly Logan were atrocious especially at tackling. We really should have gone into a conventional 4-3 and put Njongmeta in as a hammer at MLB - he is a good tackler.

Chase Brown looked great running the ball, so that tracks. I just wish he could pass block worth a damn and I would pound the drum to swap 1&2 duties with Moss... though that's kind of a shit grade for Moss pass blocking there too, and I thought he was supposed to be able to do that. Chase Brown's lack of receiving yards is a mystery though, that level of quickness and only 3.8 yards per catch?

It may be an overreaction, but if Bell and Dax continue to play bad, I'd really, really think about playing Turner and Battle over them.

Yeah, Hubbard is a legitimate cap casualty this off-season. They wont do it, though.

If they wanted to be aggressive they cut could both Hubbard and Cappa who are both under performing vastly to what they are being paid. Use the money saved to invest in a legit player on the DL.

Hubbard is literally killing this defense. He does literally nothing well at this point.

Need Murphy to get healthy and take snaps from Hubbard. Pair that with the guys on the interior getting healthy and hopefully we can turn this around.

69.9 pass blocking grade at least. Do we really trust the Bengals to draft a new RG that will be competent? Or to bargain bin dive for a cheap one in FA that isn't bad? Not saying Cappa is great, but also not sure we could replace him for less.

Cappa is much like BJ Hill to me in that aspect. You'd ideally want someone better, or someone cheaper, but he's just good enough that you don't trust this FO to beat their own track record and be able to do so... and I guess also find a new C too, because Karras I think is already set to be a FA and will be heading into his age 32 season.

An OL of potentially O Brown/Volson/Rookie?/Rookie?/Mims in 2025 just doesn't fill me with optimism for that season. Lol

RE: Did anyone post PFF grades? - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 09-25-2024

Thanks for posting Casaer and others. I saw Mims get beat on the one play bad, but other than that I think he was decent. Volson
back to being decent again after a poor showing against Chris Jones and the Chiefs. Burrow of course looked great the last 2 games.
Ja'Marr Chase is back and Yoshi looked good along with Tee helping out and Gesicki keeps playing well along with Erick All.

Logan Wilson I thought played great once again in this game. Sucks other players make the entire Defense look so bad when one
player has been playing lights out the first 3 games while we lose games. Agree with others that if Bell keeps playing poorly we need
to put in Battle. Same with Dax even if it was just one poor game, he was good against the Chiefs. Turner has looked good to me this
year.

Both safeties are ass. Play the young guns!

It was just that one Mims got beat on was so very bad. It was a complete whiff, where the defender went right around him as if Mims was stuck in molasses. Or treacle as our British fans would say.

Id shift Karras to guard and Matt Lee to center.
