Welcome back Raymond Johnson - pally - 10-16-2024 Raymond Johnson returns to the Bengals. He had been signed to the PS. A spot opened up because Isiah Thomas was poached by the Lions RE: Welcome back Raymond Johnson - J24 - 10-16-2024 Nice signing ! Liked his ability to rush from inside! RE: Welcome back Raymond Johnson - Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 - 10-16-2024 I can remember being a tad upset when the Lions nabbed him a while back. Hopefully, he can help a bit. Any non-Hendrickson pass rush would be fantastic. Outside of Trey: Hubbard: 1 sack Dax Hill: 1 sack (IR) Jay Tufele: 0.5 sacks Zach Carter: 0.5 sacks (with Raiders) I believe that is it. Trey has 5, the rest of the team 3. And we are one of 7 teams under 10 sacks with 8. Well he's not going to help from the PS unless someone gets hurt RE: Welcome back Raymond Johnson - Truck_1_0_1_ - 10-16-2024 (10-16-2024, 03:24 PM)Sled21 Wrote: Well he's not going to help from the PS unless someone gets hurt We face solid pass blocking olines the next two weeks, so he MIGHT get elevated just to be an extra body, but then I would think they play Cedric over Raymond. I think we will see some pass rush come from the middle this week: Browns are super hurt in the interior and no longer have Callahan. RE: Welcome back Raymond Johnson - bfine32 - 10-16-2024 Love me some RJ3. hoping for a James Harrison type resurrection. Played very good in the Preseason before getting picked off our PS and I was mad about it at the time. He was better than who we kept IMO. Any help with the pass rush would be nice, just need Myles Murphy to start stepping up, he didn't play well against the Giants. Hubbard has been hurt but is playing much better and I liked what I saw of Cedric Johnson in preseason. RE: Welcome back Raymond Johnson - pally - 10-17-2024 He hasn't been on a team since pre season...so we can't expect early help RE: Welcome back Raymond Johnson - sandwedge - 10-18-2024 (10-17-2024, 01:28 PM)Nate (formerly eliminate08) Wrote: Glad to have RJ3 back. Having someone inside who needs to be blocked makes a huge difference for the outside guys RE: Welcome back Raymond Johnson - SunsetBengal - 10-18-2024 (10-17-2024, 01:33 PM)pally Wrote: He hasn't been on a team since pre season...so we can't expect early help Well, he did amass 4 tackles in 15 appearances with the Giants his rookie year, so there is that. Honestly, I'd be more optimistic had he just came off of recording a dozen sacks in the UFL or some such. I really don't expect him to amount to much other than just practice squad fodder and a solid camp body. Edit: If the Bengals want to add some pass rush, they should offer Cleveland a 6th for Zadarius Smith. They really should also take a look at offering Jacksonville a late round pick for Walter Little OT. Little is on the final year of his rookie contract and would be great depth, much better than only having Cody Ford to rely on. |
