Will there be any coaching changes????? - uticabengalfan - 10-28-2024 Im pretty well convinced dementia boy isnt going to do anything this season or the offseason because 5 wins is success to him and losses by 6 points or less count as wins. I can this entire team blowing up and having a meltdown. Tee is gone, im not sure Chase will resign and I can see a scenario where Burrow wants out, and I cant blame him. Is there a chance Burrow goes to the front office demanding change and anything happens???? Coaches being fired, Zac giving up play calling, etc. RE: Will there be any coaching changes????? - Nicomo Cosca - 10-28-2024 You answered your own question. RE: Will there be any coaching changes????? - Bengalion - 10-28-2024 They will not fire Zac this season and you that. Even if we lose out and end up picking in the Top 5 next year, Zac will be coaching this team in 2025 no matter what. He has achieved too much to be fire after one atypical season. Duke Tobin is the one who should be receiving more heat and afraid of being jobless. I can't believe he's still here. RE: Will there be any coaching changes????? - THE PISTONS - 10-28-2024 They'll work around the fringes. Maybe some position coaches will be gone. RE: Will there be any coaching changes????? - THE PISTONS - 10-28-2024 We likely win 7-8-9 games too. We'd have to win 3-4 games for a few years for Zac to be fired. Burrow will keep this team too good to get coaches fired. RE: Will there be any coaching changes????? - Mgbrown66 - 10-28-2024 My dream would be them bringing in Bill Belichick at seasons end. The Bengals generally hire docile coaches that are easy to work with and don't want a ton of power. Belicheck is the absolute opposite of that all. They would never hire him. He'd want to total control of the football operation. Good luck peddling that idea around these parts. Apparently having 8 SB rings doesn't count if you can't win the whole shebang with Mac Jones. RE: Will there be any coaching changes????? - JumboTron - 10-28-2024 Zac has at least another 9-10 seasons left before the Brown/Blackburns even start thinking about a "change". RE: Will there be any coaching changes????? - jj22 - 10-28-2024 The truth is 6 years is just a very long time for a coaching staff. Not HC, but OC/DC, and while we did get a new OC, it's still the same 6 year old system. RE: Will there be any coaching changes????? - TheCincinnatiKid - 10-28-2024 There's as much chance of coaching changes as there is of Mike Brown becoming the #31 owner in the NFL. Zero. RE: Will there be any coaching changes????? - GodFather - 10-28-2024 No way Brown lets go of coaching staff and then still obligated to pay out their salary. In addition, we will never hire a top notch coach because Brown family would be unwilling to pay them for their worth. They would rather get a coach on the cheap. RE: Will there be any coaching changes????? - RunKijanaRun - 10-28-2024 lolno RE: Will there be any coaching changes????? - ochocincos - 10-28-2024 As it stands, Marion Hobby is the logical first dismissal, to me. Since Hobby joined the staff in 2021, the DL's success has depended predominantly on the contributions from Hubbard, Hendrickson, Reader, Hill, and Ogunjobi. Outside of that group, no other player has had more than 3.5 sacks in a season (Ossai, 2022). Was hoping Ossai would have built off that 3.5 sacks in 2022 to ~5 in 2023 and further improving this year. Ossai has just 1.0 sack since 2022. He's been active for 22 games. Murphy had 3.0 sacks last year, but his last one was 12/16. He's gone 7 games without even half a sack. Carter has 1.0 sack total across 37 games. All these guys were 3rd rounders or better. Sample had been active for 47 games and only 5.0 sacks across that whole time. These are the guys who were supposed to become the next core of the DL with Jenkins/Jackson, but really none of them have amounted to much. I am not sure if it has somewhat to do with the scheme Anarumo is having these guys do, but it feels like they just aren't talented enough as we thought they were going to be or they just haven't been coached well enough to learn how to win more often than they have. RE: Will there be any coaching changes????? - WeezyBengal - 10-28-2024 Doesn't matter if Duke Tobin and FO remains the same. Hobby is also a major part of scouting and stacking the DL draft board and we all know how well that's went. Bill was not a very good coach his last 4-5 years and he left that franchise in very bad shape RE: Will there be any coaching changes????? - THE PISTONS - 10-28-2024 (10-28-2024, 01:19 PM)SunsetBengal Wrote: As long as Zac is in charge, the offense will likely remain the same. I'd say he's shown very little growth. The run game has been mediocre. The play-calling only seems to work when Chase and sometimes Higgins are making superhuman catches and breaking 60 yard catches loose. Other than that, it struggles. So despite needing those big plays, they call conservative dink and dunk routes A LOT. |
