Bengals trying to create a spark.. - SunsetBengal - 11-26-2024 ..by bringing Ping Pong tables back to the locker room. I guess nothing fixes a porous defense like a little hand-eye coordination and reflex therapy! https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/bengals-make-significant-change-to-locker-room-during-bye-week-with-hopes-of-turning-season-around/ar-AA1uKtEf?ocid=msedgntp&pc=U531&cvid=0ef3146e78d34109b22b6bd3b1489934&ei=36 Quote:Zac Taylor was adamant when he said the Cincinnati Bengals would not make drastic changes during their Week 12 bye week. And while he was true to his word, the Bengals head coach did make one notable change, one he hopes can help turn his 4-7 team's season around. RE: Bengals trying to create a spark.. - bengalfan74 - 11-26-2024 I'd be open to trying anything at all at this point. Because there are some fundamental flaws in this teams makeup right now. RE: Bengals trying to create a spark.. - jason - 11-26-2024 Had that been me... I'da put an emphasis on making kicks, and allowing fewer points. Ping pong is a good start though. RE: Bengals trying to create a spark.. - Wyche'sWarrior - 11-26-2024 Why they remove them in the first place? It's funny...after melting down to the Ravens blowing...what a 2 TD lead after a fumble led to a collapse...and the Chargers dismal performance in the 1st half...I thought maybe a coordinator would be fired. Instead...they bring back ping ping tables... You think if the Steelers defense played terrible for 2 games that their fix would be adding ping pong tables? Definitely not, but Tomlin absolutely butchered the end of that Cleveland game. I mean, all kidding aside, it did seem to be a big part of getting different position groups hanging out with each other. I know it has nothing to do with performance, but I found it odd that they'd take them out after it was a staple for the last few years. Now it makes a little sense. Ah, I see you caught the subtle irony that inspired the OP. I'm pretty sure the Steelers were on a losing streak years ago and Mike Tomlin said no more ping pong. Not kidding for once, here. Also the fact that we are 2.5 point favorites over the 8-3 Steelers should kill our "no one believes in us" victim mindset, right? When they got off to an 0-4 start in 2013 he banned ping pong as well as other games in the locker room: https://ftw.usatoday.com/2013/10/mike-tomlin-bans-games-steelers-nfl-week6 RE: Bengals trying to create a spark.. - George Cantstandya - 11-26-2024 (Yesterday, 10:54 AM)THE PISTONS Wrote: Where's the media cart? We make the change with 6 games left in the season a record of 4-7 and holding onto playoff hopes with our fingernails and will be the rest of the season if we are lucky enough to go on a winning streak. My opinion is that bringing back the ping pong tables won't make a difference but I guess the coaches disagree with me. Perhaps it will encourage Burton to show up for walk through practices if they install more toys in the locker room. Maybe they should install a ball pit and a bouncy house as well.
