BoomerFan 2 mock drafts, one without trades - BoomerFan - 12-07-2024 Yeah I know, none of these are realistic particularly the one with trades. This is just something I did to have fun and put myself in a better mood about the team. Here's the one with trades. I went a little bananas. That said, it would be great to have all this draft capital in 2026. Might really help a new coach that is just getting started. Picks hoarded for 2026 1st rounder from Tampa Bay 2nd rounder from Tampa Bay 4th rounder from Miami 4th rounder from Washington 5th rounder from San Francisco 7th rounder from Tampa Bay 7th rounder from Miami 7th rounder from Washington Trades Da' Draft RE: BoomerFan 2 mock drafts, one without trades - Whatever - 12-07-2024 The first draft looks good. Zero problems and I'd be happy with this come draft day. The second, well, seems pretty crazy with trades. Not a fan of Booker at all. We have the least athletic OL in the league and spend a 2nd on an unathletic Gm RE: BoomerFan 2 mock drafts, one without trades - SunsetBengal - 12-07-2024 (12-07-2024, 03:12 PM)Whatever Wrote: The first draft looks good. Even if you have a team that prefers to pass, as long as you stack your interior OL with people movers, you'll make most of your critical conversions by sneak or handoff, without the risk of dropping back. The "elephant" OL works just as well as the athletic, precision OL, as evidenced by the Cowboys dynasty years. Emmitt Smith had no issues with hitting holes behind big Nate Newton and company. The team led by Zac Taylor wants to focus on being pass first and doesn't have the time for even a great OL coach to implement a wide zone scheme, even if they did bring in the correct player personnel. Might as well give Joe and the RBs a fighting chance at hitting holes straight forward. The "elephant" OL worked 30 years because a)pass rushers were less athletic and b) teams used a FB to get a hat on second level defenders. Booker struggles in pass pro due to his poor athleticism. Yeah, we can run behind him on the handful of 3rd and shorts that come up each game, but you sacrifice pressure up the middle on 30+ dropbacks a game. |
