Silver lining w the Bengals stinking this year - Whacked - 12-08-2024

We get mostly Sunday 1pm games next season. Lol

I hate non-Sunday & non-1pm games.

Grumpy old man rant over

And a 5th place schedule for our effort this year

Even better the Bengals play all their games over seas, so by 1pm eastern the game is over and we don’t have to watch it.

Lol.

I still like to watch even when they stink.

I’m addicted.

I’ve tried (and failed) so many times to not watch.

and hopefully a round 1 pick Duke cannot botch.

Hmm

A silver lining is that this team needed a mini rebuild anyways. It was inevitable

Are you kidding, unless it’s a flashy offensive player, They will screw to up.  They can’t choose defensive players, they stink at that.

I'm hopeful. It's all you can do when rooting for the Bengals.

We had an easy schedule this year and lost to all of them. I'm so close to saying the ZT experience is over, but I just can't because I fear the FO is the biggest cause of most of this BS. A HC doesn't decline so bad after a SB just 3yrs removed with a FO that supports him.

Hmm

Is it top five? If not, expect it to be someone with a great combine stat but weak film, an injury prone player at a position of no need or a 3 year project who was believed to be a day two pick.

We had bad results today for draft order.

That would be pretty much only QB and OT. We need basically everything else.

I don't know as disappointing as this season has been I think as long as Burrow and the offense are performing at a high level the Bengals are going to get prime time games. The NFL loves high scoring games and action. It isn't like many of the Bengals games have been snooze fests.

And the Bengals games are often close. Close losses but exciting from an NFL fan's perspective.

Hmm

This is my silver lining, also if we are really bad there could be a major turnover with the coaching staff.

All we have to do is be decent on Defense next year which isn't a major milestone to shoot for.

But us getting an early round 1 pick with tons of talent could really help this team. I don't think we are as far off as some think.

Sucks losing all these close games and I kind of wish we would move on from all of our coaches but I think Zac will be back so we will
just have to deal with it. He is a good communicator and if he just steps back and lets Pitcher or another OC call the plays this Offense
under Burrow could be great especially if we got a run game and played more under Center.

Lots of great DL, RB in this next draft to help us out and we can add a Guard like Trey Smith in FA.

Yeah, it just sucks for us Bengals fans watching us lose these close games. For any other fan they are fun games to watch.

I don't think there's much doubt that the F.O./Brown family/no real GM is our #1 problem. But I'm still of the opinion that ZT is NOT a great play caller.

And though I'm with the OP on not liking night games anymore!! I agree with the guys saying that our high scoring (most of the time) is going to override our crappy season as far as scheduling goes.

Indeed

The guys kill me that come on here and act like we're a couple players away.

Eh, I am sure the Bengals can hit with a 9th overall pick rather than a top-5 pick. I mean their last one was *checks notes*.... John Ross.... one pick before Patrick Mahomes.
