Snap Counts vs Browns - pally - 12-23-2024 In addition to what Paul noted, there were some nice impact plays from guys with limited snaps -Vonn Bell forced a TD saving fumble and recovered it as well -Cedrick Johnson with a sack -DJ Ivey with a tipped ball that led to an INT and Tanner Maclachlan FINALLY got to see the field
RE: Snap Counts vs Browns - Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 - 12-23-2024 I think the play with Johnson was not scored as a sack, as they ruled intentional grounding. I think he gor a QB hit/pressure on the play. They changed the stat to a sack? RE: Snap Counts vs Browns - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 12-23-2024 Yah know why I like Chase Brown better than Joe Mixon? He is consistent. Hits the hole fast time and time again without hesitancy. Plus he isn't too shabby catching the ball out of the backfield this season either. Upgrade. When you have an iffy OL, dancing around behind it rarely ends in anything good. People on twitter just flaying out team alive for getting rid of Mixon early in the year when he was having good game: they are all silent now, after his really bad 6 game stretch. Meanwhile, Chase Brown is doing even better than Mixon was earlier in the year, so looks like we made the right decision after all. The only thing Mixon is the clear leader in is rushing TDs (11 vs. 7), otherwise it's a wash or Chase is better than him in everything else, in only 40 more snaps. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MixoJo00.htm https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BrowCh10.htm RE: Snap Counts vs Browns - Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 - 12-24-2024 (12-24-2024, 11:26 AM)Truck_1_0_1_ Wrote: There were SO. I have always liked Brown. Though the one fumble was costly. Ball security is all Mixon has on him. However, since Mixon and Brown were both on the team already, the proper framing is Mixon/Brown vs Moss/Brown + money saved. Brown would still be second string if Moss had not gotten hurt. That tells you something about the coaches. Of course, if Mixon had stayed, Brown would still be 2nd string as well. But I'd take Mixon over Moss, any day. Coaching blunders aside, I like Brown + Mixon the best. Nailed it RE: Snap Counts vs Browns - pally - 12-24-2024 Brown was getting more snaps than Moss when Moss got hurt RE: Snap Counts vs Browns - Essex Johnson - 12-24-2024 (12-24-2024, 11:32 AM)Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 Wrote: I have always liked Brown. Actually there was a noticeable increase in snap counts and carries after the first fews games between Chase and Moss, from game 4 on, Chase from getting almost double the carries till Moss got hurt.. We can add another RB to compliment Brown now. I like Herbert as a runner, but he hasn't got many snaps with how well Chase has been. Still would like a pounder. Those people were idiots. Said so at the time, just watch, he will go back to his inconsistent ways. Was nice at the beginning when everything was fresh but Mixon will show himself eventually with his hesitancy and inconsistent running ways. Mixon DOES have ball security on Brown that is for sure. That is the only thing though like you say. I actually am not for bringing back Moss as he was supposed to be a good pass protector for us and he wasn't even that. Chase Brown has actually been a much better pass protector for us. Love this guy. Like I said, bring back Herbert and add a pounder to bring some physicality to our running game and we are good at RB. The Defensive coaches are the ones that are really inept this year and they have to go. |
