Team tried to claim DT Phidarian Mathis - pally - 12-31-2024
Mathis is a 26 year DT who was waived by the Commanders. Bengals put in a claim for him. Unfortunately, the Jets got him. He would have been ours otherwise. Texans and Lions also put in a claim

he has a really cool name..but is a very average player

I think that the rookies on the DL have all played better as the season went along. Teams haven't been running all over them with Rankins out of the lineup.
