Why is York still on the team? - Southpaw Frerotte - 01-03-2025 From what I can tell, York is still on the roster. I realize there’s only one game left (most likely) but he’s clearly not reliable and shouldn’t see the field in any pressure situations. So why haven’t the Bengals replaced him yet with some other free agent kicker who would be an upgrade? RE: Why is York still on the team? - pally - 01-03-2025 like who? RE: Why is York still on the team? - Wyche'sWarrior - 01-03-2025 I'm not sure there's one out there, but I do agree, he has struggled. I think that obviously factored into the decision to score a TD instead of kicking a FG and running down the clock. It would have for me. RE: Why is York still on the team? - RunKijanaRun - 01-03-2025 He’s as good as anything you’ll find on the street. I love Thunder Toe RE: Why is York still on the team? - samhain - 01-03-2025 Kickerball is a bad way to live. Leaving it in their hands is never a good idea. Shayne Graham even shanked the pizza kick last week. RE: Why is York still on the team? - Sled21 - 01-04-2025 (01-03-2025, 09:42 PM)pally Wrote: like who? Ah see, there you went and asked that same pesky question that ruins a "he should be fired" post. That's kind of funny. I was thinking about starting a thread a bit ago with the title McPherson is about to get Wally Pipped because I saw where a fan made a 40 yard kick before the Browns game to win free pizza for the stadium. :) RE: Why is York still on the team? - StoneTheCrow - 01-04-2025 Man it was nice that one time for a few months we had a shall I say, money kicker. If we didn't trust York, we would not have been playing for a FG in the first place. Again, once we had to use an injury TO, then Denver could have called TO after 2nd. And if we did not score on 3rd, they'd have been down 3 with just under a minute. Hardly impossible. RE: Why is York still on the team? - Whacked - 01-04-2025 It’s gonna stink to battle CrapsBurgh in what I think will be a dogfight of a game tonight - knowing a DUB may come down to York vs Boswell RE: Why is York still on the team? - Truck_1_0_1_ - 01-04-2025 (01-04-2025, 01:47 PM)Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 Wrote: No. That had nothing to do with it. Boswell will kick another game winner, thank the good Lord Friermuth dropped that pass! Glad he was able to hit all of his chip shots though since we needed all of them. Still wouldn’t want to rely on his leg for a game winning field goal though.
