RE: Scouting the All-Star Games - Synric - 01-22-2025

Post updated with times. I'll add rosters as they become available.

East West Shrine Practices will now be available to view live on an App called Lights Out Sports. I don't know anything about it but will give it a try this weekend.

nic scourton is an intriguing prospect for DE and seems to be projected (at least for now) right where Bengals pick at #17.

Is Walter Nolen supposed to go earlier in some of these projections? Really like Nolen, haven't studied up on Scourton yet.

Scourton prototypical 4-3 DE, Nolen 4-3 DT.

Yeah, I knew Nolen was a 3-tech in a 4-3. Thanks on Scourton, we could use another End for dang sure as well with Murphy not showing
up yet and Ossai and Hubbard questionable to be back.

I view Scourton as more of a Hubbard replacement rather than someone who would be an ideal fit to replace Hendrickson down the line.
But both Hubbard and Hendrickson are gonna need replaced within a couple years (this year for Hubbard ideally), so adding Scourton would be a great decision, IMO.

If they re-sign Ossai and have the thought of him and Murphy splitting reps in Hubbard's place though, I would lean toward someone like James Pearce Jr. instead as a rotational piece with Hendrickson as a rookie and future heir to his blind side spot.

I love James Pearce Jr.  Him in 1 and Deone Walker in 2.

Yes. Scourton would be a strong side end in their 425 nickle and has versatility to be a stand up OLB or 34 DE in their base 524 looks. If they move on from Hubbard they will need to replace that skillset.

Nick Scourton, Mykel Williams, Shemar Stewart, Jack Sawyer, Landon Jackson, Jared Ivey, JT Tuimoloau, Tyler Baron.

Definitely.

There's a very good chance that 2 or 3 of the Bengals future top 100 picks including pick #17 could be at the Senior Bowl.
