Scott Peters OL coach - pally - 01-20-2025 Scott came from the Patriots. He is a Bill Callahan trained coach. He was his assistant in Cleveland Not THE Mike MacCarthy is his assistant, also coming from the Patriots RE: Scott Peters OL coach - Joelist - 01-20-2025 What do we know about his blocking scheme? Does it fit with our offense with Burrow? RE: Scott Peters OL coach - bfine32 - 01-20-2025 (01-20-2025, 01:50 PM)Joelist Wrote: What do we know about his blocking scheme? I'd imagine scheme is same as Callahan's RE: Scott Peters OL coach - Stewy - 01-20-2025 (01-20-2025, 01:50 PM)Joelist Wrote: What do we know about his blocking scheme? RE: Scott Peters OL coach - Soonerpeace - 01-20-2025 This was an agreesive quick response as he wasn’t lasting long and was in high demand. RE: Scott Peters OL coach - samhain - 01-20-2025 Not gonna say I know anything about him, but the things I've read seem encouraging. RE: Scott Peters OL coach - thompson19osu - 01-20-2025 He is a former C/G in the league so hopefully his opinion on new bodies he wants at G positions pull some serious weight. He was his assistant in Cleveland I like the pedigree. A new coach and a OG or two who can get some push would make a world of difference. I am saddened that the OL can't open a hole after 4 straight passes. I believe they don't get enough opportunities perhaps but either way our OGs seem weak (compared to the opposition). RE: Scott Peters OL coach - Synric - 01-20-2025 Makes Sense. Ties to Jim McNally. Quote:Peters, 46, a former NFL guard and center and one-time trainer of UFC champions Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez, never played in the AFC North during stints with five teams. But he arrives with plenty of Bengals ties. https://www.bengals.com/news/bengals-hire-scott-peters-offensive-line-coach-afc-north RE: Scott Peters OL coach - KillerGoose - 01-20-2025 I know nothing about Peters. The one thing that sticks out to me is most of his experience is in Cleveland, who were under center a lot running outside zone. Working off play-action, boots etc. This is a very different look to Cincinnati, who utilize shotgun a lot and have been a heavy duos team until this year. The Bengals worked wide zone more this year with the emergence of Chase Brown but still plenty of shotgun duos. He'll have more talent here in Cincinnati. Michael Jordan was starting for New England. They were void of talent. RE: Scott Peters OL coach - bfine32 - 01-20-2025 Folks often get mad because our Oline doesn't come to JB's defense when he is "roughed". This dude trains jujitsu RE: Scott Peters OL coach - Sled21 - 01-20-2025 (01-20-2025, 01:52 PM)bfine32 Wrote: Big on proper technique with the hands. I don't know enough about this guy to be happy or disturbed, but why was he only at NE one year and not retained? RE: Scott Peters OL coach - pally - 01-20-2025 Quote:"Scott is a great fit for our offense," said head coach Zac Taylor. "He is passionate about the position, and has done a great job of both developing young players and helping veteran players continue to grow. He is familiar with the AFC North and knows what it takes to win in our division. I am excited to have him on our staff." He is old school. I saw him in person run Perine 11 straight times in the fourth quarter in Sept ‘22 vs the Jets at MetLife. RE: Scott Peters OL coach - Soonerpeace - 01-20-2025

RE: Scott Peters OL coach - Frank Booth - 01-20-2025 here's to hoping he actually learned a lot from Callahan. Idk how you get hired after the performance of the pats' o-line |
