Final Mock - Whatever - 04-24-2025 When 17 rolled around, Loveland was far and away the best player on my board. I know folks will grouse about Gesicki and "needs", but all football teams need great players. Years from now, nobody is going to regret drafting an elite TE for Joe Burrow. Princely comes in a bit light in the pants against the run, but his length, bend, and burst make him difficult to keep out of the backfield. I see him rotating with Trey as a rookie, then possibly replacing him if contract talks go south. To replace Hubbard, we get the next Sam Hubbard. Sawyer will probably never be a double digit sack guy, but he should immediately compete for snaps at LDE and solidify the position if Murphy can't. Wilson is basically the Amarious Mims of C's. A physical freak out of Georgia with the second highest RAS ever recorded by a C, but only one year of starting experience. Could compete for one of the starting G spots before replacing Karras next year. Fumbles and pass pro issues see Sampson fall into the fourth, but with his great vision, burst, and contact balance, he should be able to contribute early with a fair chunk of carries as well as compete for KR duty. Sanker has issues with biting hard on play fakes and poor angles, but with a 9.54 RAS, he has the tools to develop into a good starter down the line. Unafraid to attack the LoS, he probably starts out on ST's, but could blossom from there. A torn ACL in the college football playoffs cause Mills to tumble to this point, but with 7.5 sacks as a senior, it makes sense for Golden to take a flyer on the kid he coached at Notre Dame. Mills most definitely starts the year on the PUP and will try to work his way into the rotation later in the year. Kiser will likely never be a starter, just a quality backup and potential future ST's Captain. RE: Final Mock - Synric - 04-24-2025 It just feels like someone who needs a Center is going to take Jared Wilson 2nd round. Then again Rounds 2-4 are such a crapshoot in this class, who knows? Last year was a great C class and many are thinking Zabel may find that's his best position in the NFL, so he could potentially fall, especially if teams don't see him as being ready to start there as a rookie. RE: Final Mock - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 04-24-2025 Well done Whatever. Would not complain about Warren or Loveland honestly, I like Warren more because I believe he fits our needs more with us just signing Gesicki to a 3 year deal and All being out for at least another year and maybe never plays again, but Loveland could be great. Good job on drafting an End not many have talked about in Princely, damn good pass rusher which is what we need and he can grow into his own as a run stopper on down the road. Sawyer just makes a ton of sense to replace Sam, should be an upgrade right off the bat with how banged up Sam has been the last couple of years, good pick. Love the Jared Wilson pick the most, this guy could start immediately along with Patrick and we could very well be upgraded at Guard and like you said can be our future Ted Karras replacement even if I like Matt Lee. Good Centers that can play Guard are valuable. Sampson is a great runner and he can work on his ball security and pass pro like Chase Brown did, nice pick. Want a RB in this talented class. Also like Sanker as he is in my first mock, the bad angles worry me but he can work on that. Rylie Mills injury is the only reason he would fall this far, love this pick. I might want to get a 3-tech pass rusher earlier, but Kris Jenkins could very well improve big time this year. I like Kiser and he makes sense as Simmons ST's pick late. Good job. |
