We’ve hit Red Rocks and the Masters the last two years. Next up on the bucket list is the Derby, hopefully next year.
I read today that every horse in the Derby is a descendant of Secretariat. Pretty cool.

I absolutely love horse racing, but don't pay enough attention to be a "sharp". I'm getting close to retirement age. Once that happens, I may make it more of a full-time hobby. It's really nothing more than research,.

The track is sloppy from the rain. I would think that evens the odds out some.

I bet the following, but Flying Mohawk was my favorite:
2$ for Baeza to win, payout $31.62
2$ for Soveriegnty to win, Payout $20.54
2$ for Publisher to win, payout $65.22
2$ for Journalism to win, payout $9,52
2$ for Flying Mohawk, payout $55.92
I don't know what I'm doing, and I'm betting on Fanduel. But they allowed me to make individual bets. So, the way I see it, I bet $10, if none of these horses win, I lose $10. But, if any win (except Journalism), I win money. Journalism pretty much breaks me even.
Seems to easy. I'm missing something.
