RE: Reds acquire Ke'Bryan Hayes, 3B - TheLeonardLeap - 07-30-2025 .573 OPS last year (61 OPS+) .569 OPS this year (59 OPS+), his OPS is .004 higher than Connor Joe All three parts of his slash line start with .2 for the second straight year. OFFENSE FIXED! WORLD SERIES BOUND! ![]() - - - - - - - - -- EDIT: WTF The deal better have included a MOUNTAIN of cash from the Pirates. He is making $7m this year and under contract for 4 more years and a team option. $7m, $7m, $8m, $8m, $12m ($6m buyout). The Pirates better be paying about $35m of that. Maybe they thought they were acquiring his dad, Charlie, and his 1993 season with the Rockies? ![]() RE: Reds acquire Ke'Bryan Hayes, 3B - Timanky12 - 07-30-2025 Sounds like the rebuild has started, dumping salary and getting younger players for the future. Hayes is in his age 28 season right now, has chronic back issues, and he will cost $36m over the next 5 years. So we got older and more expensive. Thanks for the correction. That sounds more like our front office. RE: Reds acquire Ke'Bryan Hayes, 3B - TheLeonardLeap - 07-30-2025 Pirates immediately flipped Rodgers to the Mets for their 10th prospect, 12th prospect, and a different major league reliever. RE: Reds acquire Ke'Bryan Hayes, 3B - Goalpost - 07-30-2025 Not going to see Marte at 3B much anymore. No that was his brother Tyler from the Giants. RE: Reds acquire Ke'Bryan Hayes, 3B - samhain - 07-30-2025 This is a head scratcher. He's not good at the plate. He's got a not insignificant contract for the rest of the decade. Stafura was just a hair outside the top ten when it comes to organizational prospects. He'll help the staff in the field, but they really need offensive help. Can't keep running Connor Joe and Receiver Hinds out in critical situations like the ones last night. I despise that Connor Joe is on the roster. RE: Reds acquire Ke'Bryan Hayes, 3B - TecmoBengals - 07-31-2025 (07-30-2025, 06:03 PM)Goalpost Wrote: Not going to see Marte at 3B much anymore. RF is his new position and he seems to support the move. RE: Reds acquire Ke'Bryan Hayes, 3B - TheLeonardLeap - 07-31-2025 The last 10 WS Champions were all Top-10 in Team OPS. We basically just negated the addition of the DH and said "we'll take a pitcher's hitting abilities instead". |
