The more things change, the more they stay the same - Nicomo Cosca - 08-22-2025

Embarrassing. But sadly it’s par for the course when it comes to this franchise. Facepalm

And things that water touches are wet......did anyone think the Bengals pay for any of those types of things? WTS lololololol.

Clearly you haven’t encountered some of Mike and Katie’s staunchest supporters. They love to claim that the “cheap narrative” is a thing of the past.

Posting before someone compares having to pay for their own lunch at their 9-5 job to this situation.

Now wait a minute, I've been led to believe by some that Mike Brown was no longer running the show.....Facepalm

Ya right.

The Bengals? NO. Every other professional sports franchise on the planet? YES.

Wedding invitations to out of towners are often done this way.

“Millionaires”

Some of these players played in an era when they didn’t make shit. And that’s besides the point anyway, the team invited them to be a part of the ceremony. Not picking up the bill is about as uncouth as it gets.

But hey, European ski trips are expensive, dammit!

Boomer Esiason- net worth 20 million
Chad Johnson- 15 million
Tim Krumrie- 5 million
Anthony Munoz- 8-12 million
Willie Anderson- 18 million
Kenny Anderson- no info online but he's doing well
Isaac Curtis- 65.2 million
Corey Dillon- 11 million

The lowest value was Lemar Parrish, who was listed at a little over 800 K.
Most, if not all of these guys went on making money after playing, either in broadcasting, business or endorsements.

The mindset of some people that NFL players need to have everything provided to them from the minute they sign until they go to the grave is ridiculous. When you invite someone to something, do you pay for their lodging? This just another nothing burger to attack the Front Office.

Invited means just that, invited. If they want to come, great, if not, great, nobody is forcing them.

As I watched this, the question popped into my mind if this was the cheapest thing they've done, or if there were other way cheaper things. Then, I stopped thinking about it.

And they were invited.... again, cradle to grave mentality when it comes to players.

We joke about Wendy’s coupons, but this doesn’t feel that far off.

Yeah there are two sides to this optic

I wonder if people would defend the Rooney’s or the Hunt’s for doing shit like this. Ninja

The team should pay for Lap and Parrish's rooms, since they are being inducted. The others were simply invited to be part of the ceremony and were given free tickets. Nothingburger
