If you could, who would you bring in as head coach? - RICHMONDBENGAL_07 - 06-08-2015

I was reading the "Marvins Rank" thread and it got me to thinking...

If we were to replace Lewis, who would you want?  Another current HC?  A college HC?  A coordinator (from any team) that might be due a shot at HC?  How about bringing someone out of retirement?

I didn't make it a poll because I didn't want responses limited, more of free flowing discussion.  Plus He's not going anywhere this season.  This is more of a "if we don't do shit this year, I'd like to see..."

So what say you?

Mike Zimmer.

Bill Cowher has said that Andy Dalton can win a Super Bowl. I'd like to see him prove it.

Another excellent choice, one that I didn't think of.

How about Sean Peyton?

Mike Zimmer.  I would never have let him leave here in the first place.

When I posted this I guess I was in more of a "dream pick" frame mind, and believe me Zimmer would be at the top of that list.  I wonder who would be available though come next season?  Besides Cowher I'm pretty sure everyone else mentioned is under contract for the foreseeable future.

I always wanted to bring in Gary Patterson from TCU :)

Good resume and experience making Dalton a winner.

Yep.  There's a big difference between Jon and Jay Gruden.

That would be a dream. The fans would get a team we always dreamed of with Bill!

I'm a huge Parcells guy but the NFL has passed him by. The league has changed way too much since the last time he had any success. As evidenced by his stints in Dallas and Miami...

He's 73. He probably ain't kicking too high any more.

Kicking or not - he wouldn't put up with the shit this team had to endure for the past two decades and a half. He's a proven winner at all levels. Zimmer comes from this coaching line.
