Rank the CBs - bfine32 - 07-20-2016 Time to rank PacMan, Dennard, and my man Radio (OK, they’ll most likely start DreK) : QB: 9-12 (no votes below 16th) RB: 6-10 (19% had them top 5 and 25% had them average) WR: 11-15 (No votes for top 5 or below 20) TE: 6-12 (only 2 votes below 12th) OT: 7-13 (90% of the votes had them in the top 13) OG: 6-10 (only 4 votes below top 10) C: skipped (but I’m sure it would not have been very high) DE: 6-10 (1-5 came in a very close 2nd) DT: Dead heat for 1-5 and 6-10. LB: 11-16 (No votes below 16th) As always here’s the competition: ARZ- Patrick Peterson, Justin Bethel, Mike Jenkins ATL- Desmond Trufant, Robert Alford, Jalen Collins BAL- Shareece Wright, Jimmy Smith, Will Davis BUF- Ronald Darby, Stephon Gilmore, Nick Robey CAR- Bene Benwikere, Robert McClain, James Bradberry CHI- Terry Porter, Kyle Fuller, Sherrick McManis CLV- Joe Haden, Tramon Williams, Justin Gilbert DAL- Byron Jones, Morris Claiborne, Brandon Carr DEN- Aqib Talib, Cliff Harris, Bradley Roby DET-Darius Slay, Nevin Lawson, Quandre Diggs GBP- Sam Shields, Quintin Rollins, Damarious Randall HOU- Kareem Jackson, Jonathan Joseph, Kevin Johnson IND- Darius Butler, Patrick Robinson, Vontae Davis JAX- Davon House, Prince Amukamara, Jalen Ramsey KCC- Marcus Peters, Lamell Fleming, Phillip Gaines LAR- Trumaine Johnson, Coty Sensabaugh, Lamarcus Joyner MIA- Byron Maxwell, Bobby McCain, Xavien Howard MIN- Xavier Rhodes, Mackensie Alexander, Captain Munnerlyn NEP- Malcolm Butler, Logan Ryan, EJ Biggers NOS- PJ Williams, Delvin Breaux, Kennan Lewis NYG- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Janoris Jenkins, Eli Apple NYJ- Darius Revis, Buster Skrine, Marcus Williams OAK- Sean Smith, David Amerson, DJ Hayden PHI- Eric Rowe, Nolan Carroll, Leodis McKelvin PIT- William Gay, Ross Cockrell, Artie Burns SDC- Brandon Flowers, Jason Verrett, Casey Hayward SEA- Richard Sherman, Brandon Browner, DeShawn Shead SFF- Tramaine Brock, Kenneth Acker, Will Redmond TBB- Brent Grimes, Alteraunn Verner, Vernon Hargreaves TEN- Jason McCourtney, Perrish Cox, Brice McCain WAS- Josh Norman, Greg Toler, Bashaud Breeland RE: Rank the CBs - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 07-20-2016 6-10 range, top 10. Adam is one of the best with his passion, speed, tackling and the fact that Offenses don't target him as much. Kirkpatrick is mediocre though and gets targeted for this reason. Really needs to step up or i believe Dennard, WJ3 or Shaw is going to take his job sooner or later. I like all of these guys upside more than Dre as well, but until they start a better player opposite Adam we are just top 10. Could be much better on down the line with these young guys. RE: Rank the CBs - Benton - 07-20-2016 Kind of a tough one. If I'm remembering right, we were bottom 10 in yards allowed, but top five in turnovers and second best in TDs allowed. I'd say 13th (ish). RE: Rank the CBs - Goalpost - 07-20-2016 No worse than 6-10. Maybe I am biased, but talent wise we got four first rounders here. RE: Rank the CBs - MasonDT70 - 07-20-2016 1 legitimately good CB and a lot of potential. Probably around 12th. RE: Rank the CBs - Go Cards - 07-20-2016 Above average with lots of room for growth. Could end up being top 5 elite before it is said and done this year though. RE: Rank the CBs - Jpoore - 07-21-2016 I think if we moved denard to the outside as corner number 2 ands put Kirkpatrick as number 3 in the slot it would be numbers 3 but how it is now 6-10 my reasoning? Kirkpatrick has way faster hips which is what you need to be a slot CB but fails on back pedaling while denard imo would excel as an outside corner... Why not try it? Can't be worse that kirkpatrick RE: Rank the CBs - jeremydc - 07-21-2016 11-14 at the moment. Potentially 6-10 by season's end. RE: Rank the CBs - wolfkaosaun - 07-21-2016 Top 10 in the league but still has question marks. Adam Jones plays at a high level. Will Kirkpatrick improve? How will Dennard do? Will Shaw and WJIII get playing time? There's so much talent in that group. It has every chance to be the best in the league based off of talent alone. But they need to play to their potential to become top 5. RE: Rank the CBs - BengalChris - 07-21-2016 I choose 1-5, not because of the individual talents or lack there of, but because as a unit they play extremely well and hold opposing QBs to low QB ratings consistently. If they play to their potential, they'll be the top set of CBs in the league. RE: Rank the CBs - bengalfan74 - 07-21-2016 Tough One I mean on paper they should be among the best in the league. But Adam Jones isn't getting any younger, Kirkpatrick is wildly inconsistent, Dennard still hasn't got enough snaps to really judge much. WJIII may well be at top CB in the making but how soon will that translate to the field ? DB's typically take a season to get up to the speed of the pro game. I voted 6 - 10 just because four #1 draft picks should at least give you that. We could be one of the top units in the league. And then again maybe not ?? RE: Rank the CBs - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 07-21-2016 In the end Iloka and Reggie really helped our CB's a lot. We had a great Secondary but Reggie honestly seemed to lose a little ground last year tackling and George has a tough time staying healthy. Shawn i believe will fill in very well for Reggie especially in the tackling department. Carrier be good. Coyle has always been good to great IMHO. Great having Kevin Coyle back. |
