Nugent staying yet again - Trademark - 11-29-2016

Marvin Lewis asked if the #Bengals will bring in any kickers this week to challenge Nugent: "No. We are not." Nugent stays.

Wow this is such a joke

RE: Nugent staying yet again - NATI BENGALS - 11-29-2016

Is this Mike Brown not wanting to pay another kicker for the next 5 games or Marvin Lewis trying to make the point he shouldnt be considered for any type of personnel job?

Nugent will probably make a kick that costs us a top 10 draft pick.

They just want to see how long of a missed xp streak he will have.

Could be a record setting streak !

Snapper, holder, and kicker need to build chemistry, so they probably wait till off season to replace nugent.

If the goal is to win a super bowl next season, you'd want to start building that chemistry ASAP, wouldn't you?

What's the point now? They know the season is over and as many have said Mike Brown is not gonna play Nugent to not be here and then another kicker to replace him. It's sad I was watching Undisputed with Shannon Sharpe and Skip bayless and Shannon was Saying that is why mike brown won't fire Marvin because he will have to pay him what he owes and then a new coach and he also said he would never come to Cincy when he played even for top dollar because of Mike Brown and the way things are ran, and there are a ton more player just like him.. It's sad.. It's not just us fans that hate him outsiders see it to.. Steven A Smith was saying the people of Cincy dont deserve this from MR Brown. He has no passion for football but he does have passion for money and boy does it show...

So....we should shitcan the QB....midseason....but not one of the worst kickers in the league? Wow.

RE: Nugent staying yet again - BengalsRocker - 11-29-2016

You know what Nugent loves about his Bengals fans?

Their big glorious middle finger.

RE: Nugent staying yet again - yellowxdiscipline - 11-29-2016

This situation might the funniest yet saddest representation of our management. Willing to stick with Nugent kicking us out of games, just to save some money. This is the Mike Brown we all know and love.

RE: Nugent staying yet again - hollodero - 11-29-2016

What would be the point in replacing Nugent right now. A new kicker won't save the season. And what is out there right now on the streets waiting to be our long-term answer?
Isn't offseason a better time to evaluate the market and get a solid kicker, compared to a hasty desperation pick in midseason.

It depends. The available FAs out there for K right now aren't really markedly better than Nugent.
I expect (or hope) the Bengals to get a new kicker in the offseason via draft/UDFA.

RE: Nugent staying yet again - bengals73 - 11-29-2016

Why get rid of Nugent? Who needs Extra points anyways?

RE: Nugent staying yet again - Pat5775 - 11-29-2016

As if Marvin needed to further his legacy of idiocy

The reason you make the move now is because by not making a move you are sending a message to the team and potential free agents that mediocrity is OK and acceptable.  You cut Nugent on principle.  He has lost the team games and deflated the team countless times this year.  The off-season has essentially already started and you have to at least give the illusion you care if you want others to car.

Nah.. Too hard.. Just kick the extra point and miss, it's only one point.

Exhibit A as to why Marvin is a freaking turd. It's way past time to flush.

The goal is to win a playoff game, and we are now years away with our offseason losses at key resources.
