That almost seems unbelievable, only winning a playoff game about 1.6% of the time. Tied with Jacksonville, yet they have only been in the league since 1995 (the Bengals have not won a playoff game since before they existed). I talked to a business associate in Boston earlier, and asked "is Brady going to win his fifth ring"? To which he responded "you damned well better believe it". Must be nice... And Mikey is likely going to give Marvy another extension. HOW ABOUT EARNING AN EXTENSION FIRTS? RE: All-Time NFL Postseason Standings - McC - 01-26-2017 We all know they are not a very successful franchise but when you see it in black and white like that, it is a real kick in the nads. We are all out of our minds. And here for the duration. As stubborn as MB is to win one his way, we are just as stubborn, determined to stick around for as long as it takes. St. Jude himself would have walked away from this. Well, thank you for putting a really fine edge on the dagger that this data already was. Before Mikey we were 5-6 (45.5%). With Mikey we are 0-7 (0%). Just pointing that out in case anyone was wondering. RE: All-Time NFL Postseason Standings - Nately120 - 01-26-2017 This seems pretty similar to the off-season following the 2010 debacle, but now Marvin doesn't have a handful of scapegoat vets to divert fan criticism. The Texans have beaten the Bengals twice in the Wild Card round plus the Raiders this year. They've never won in the Divisional Round. Still .500 though RE: All-Time NFL Postseason Standings - bengalfan74 - 01-26-2017 I'm not sure what's bigger ? Mike Brown's ineptness, or his stubbornness ? or his love of money ? In his first 12 seasons (pre-marvin) his overall record was 55-137. I'm no math major but that's what like 30% ? Any reasonable man would at this point be willing to say "okay, maybe I'm not such a hot GM" Maybe I should hire a football guy to run the show and I'll sit in the owners box. He admitted in court that he cuts himself a GM check. And between 1994 and 2000 the Brown family was paid out 50 million dollars in salary. And the beat goes on. Yep, he literally continued to give himself a GM salary...while being one of the most incompetent GM's in all of sports. ![]() RE: All-Time NFL Postseason Standings - Fan_in_Kettering - 01-26-2017 After seeing where Cincinnati stands in historical postseason play I'm going to need new friends: Jack, Jim, Dan, Johnny, and Jose. Know them well, Kinda took a liking to seven/7's this season. I'm getting soft in my older days I guess. I have a hard time watching the entire game without taking the edge off a little, anymore. RE: All-Time NFL Postseason Standings - THE PISTONS - 01-27-2017 And fans talk about how successful the Bengals have been recently. This franchise has never experienced much success. You could say that EVERY other NFL franchise has experienced more. |
