If Carman steps up and becomes the starting RG half way through the season won't we consider him the starting and best RG after the year is over?

Well if you consider "last years line" to include every player who started for us last year then Reiff replacing Hart is not the only change.  Bobby Hart, Michael Jordan, Billy Price, Shaq Calhoun, and Alex Redmond all started for us last year.  In fact they started a total of 32 games and everyone of them has been replaced.

So who exactly are you talking about when you say "last years line"?  Seems like it is some mythical lineup that never took the field.

This years opening day lineup is Williams - Spain - Hopkins - XSF - Reiff. So two different starters. The backups have been pretty completely overhauled as well with Hill, Smith and Carman all being new. So there is a lot of changeover on the OL to go with a coach who actually teaches and teaches sound blocking concepts.

This and D'Ante, Hill and even Carman looked really good for rookies under Pollack who is immeasurably better than Turner...
