It wasn’t. It was a ‘dumb call’ because they didn’t get it. If they got it, you’d be thrilled. It’s a risky call, but not dumb.

To answer your question, there is no situation where you go for it on your own 5. Teams are going to see their expected points go up if they are more aggressive on fourth down and that was a situation that numbers will say “go-for-it”.

Welcome.  Yeah these threads are always a lot of fun.  Plenty of good jokes, a lot of excitement and of course the few that say things like "Burrow should be benched,"  in the first quarter.   It makes things interesting and why I hang out here on game days.
