Still a lot better than most people expected at this point in the season.

Yep, and if they can beat the Browns next week, they are gonna be in pretty good shape heading into the bye.

1 game out of 1 seed, and 1 game out of 10th place. Crazy.

Next week is huge.
Lose and they could spiral into last place the way this division is going and with some tough games coming up. Win and they are in the thick of it.

This team had a chance to really prove they belong
In the.conversation of contenders in the AFC.
This game was lost.in the.middle of the week.
Maybe they were feeling like they have arrived
Or maybe they felt they could only give 80 % in
Practice and turn it in vs the Jets.
They.will lose to the Browns if carry that attitude
Into that game.

The Jets only have 2 wins, and they're against 2 of the current top 5 teams in the AFC.

Or, more specifically, the current and previous top teams.

Yeah.  Went to LA and beat the Rams last year, too.

We’re not beating Cleveland. Some was exposed big time on our D today. I look for the D to start going down hill fast. Hope I’m wrong.

We did this against the Bears too, and came back and handled the Steelers. Lost a heart breaker to the Packers, and stomped the next two opponents. This is a young team still learning how to handle success. It’ll likely be up and down the rest of the year. This is a team 1 year away from contending for the ship, but that doesn’t mean they can’t make the playoffs and steal one. Last year we were terrible and beat 2 playoff teams. Don’t lost hope yet. We are only one game out of the 1st seed.

If they can get in, even by a wildcard spot, you never know what can happen. Giants, packers, ravens, and steelers all won a SB from the wildcard spot since 2000.

That was the old bangles. It keeps rearing it’s ugly head. Always play down to teams we should beat. Not taking away anything from the jets. They came to play ball. One question after 3 plays in the red zone and we only go backwards why not kick a field goal?
Please kick me in the nuts again.

On to the browns

I didn’t expect them to play this well, and honestly expected them to be a lot better next year. So long as no implosion I don’t see why they won’t be better than this.

In the thread titled "5-12," which was posted just prior to the season start, I predicted the following wins this season...
Overall - 6-8 wins
JAX
DET
NYJ
Maybe CHI
LV and/or DEN
1 win against CLE and/or PIT (not sweeping either team)

So by this point, I had assumed the Bengals would have about 3-5 wins (NYJ, DET, JAX, maybe CHI, maybe 1 win against PIT).
Given the Bengals have already gotten to 5, I think they could get to 9 or maybe 10, but I don't see them getting more than 10.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Why do people add that bullshit qualifier? Take a stand and stick to it.
