I don't know...there could be extenuating circumstances.  Injuries, schedule, etc. 

That being said, those Bengals teams had not given you much of a track record to think so.  I do remember Mel Kiper saying about Dalton coming out of college:  "Allergic to losing", and for those first five years, he was pretty accurate with that.

Laying out those type of hits AND getting 8 INT all in the same season.

I have no idea if that would fall under "defenseless receiver" as it seems to be the most subjective call (before taunting came along).  

That was an insane hit, though.  Daniels was a big dude, and he totally reversed his direction.  Sad that a play like that would have me cringing waiting for laundry.

I will say that after the last few years of the Carson Palmer era where we were either good or terrible no real in between. I really enjoyed that in the early years of the Green Dalton era the team always kept fighting and you couldn't really count them out during the season.

I think Denny had a connect to the team as well. I remember at some point during the Mike Zimmer DC era him predicting we would win 3 of our last 4 to get in the playoffs. I was skeptical but it happened just like he said.

Btw, I was thinking about making a post in Klotsch about all the posters we've lost through the years. I made a small list of guys who haven't logged in for over a year or more:

Any way you could do an email blast to them to say something to the effect of "Hey, haven't seen you in a while.  The Bengals are challenging for the AFCN crown, so stop in and say howdy and let us know what you've been up to."   

I always wonder what happens to people that stop posting.  Did they die, or jut lose interest in the team and/or board?  Call me the sentimental type that needs closure, I guess.
