What a painful loss

How many quality players has he let walk over the years because he didn’t want to pay market rates for them? He thinks you can just draft someone, pay them a lot less money, and everything will be fine.

Part of me thinks the Browns are more likely to try these days, but I also wouldn't advise Burrow to try to push them towards it, either.

It's not rocket science Sniff Doggy Do or BPK whatever your name is?

Do you not know who Mike Brown is? Hint: he's owned the Bengals for ~30 years.

I'm trying to understand why people continue to hang "support" a team that turns them into blubbering babies after every L. I mean, we all know the primary issue with the Bengals. How anyone gets surprised by their short comings at this point is absolutely mind boggling.

I imagine everyone throwing a hissy fit right now screams in a mad panic whenever it rains.

That's quite an imagination. I am picturing rain panic syndrome right now, and it's hilarious.  No, I bought in, for just a short while, and now it seems that b**** Lucy has me flying through the air again... . If they make the playoffs, great. Not holding my breath.

No way the Bengals win more than 5 games this season.

No way Chase does anything worthwhile after all those preseason drops.

And on and on and on and on and on.

Post of the Year.  I swear this board is becoming more like one of those obnoxious facebook groups where 90% of the so-called fans on there are just about ripping players, coaches, etc.

I wasn't happy they lost, but this team is fun to watch and I believe very close to being something special.

Everyone destroying the line....How did that SAME line play against the front of pitt...with Watt?

I am really bummed that they are 7-6 after being 5-2. but they are still in it and still have a shot at the AFC North.

Just goes to show how much talent there is on both sides of the offense and defense. Zac on the other hand, just has no clue. The talent is carrying this team.

Having Zac is like having the best ingredients in the world to make the best meal, but with a cook who has no clue and creates the biggest turd in the end.

I have the utmost empathy for us 40-something year old fans. We were in the right age range to have that youthful passion for the Bengals and enjoy the team as kids while also learning how football Xs & Os worked. I thought things were going to be great for the franchise and we were legit elite like the 49'ers. As fans, we were so close to a Super Bowl win and had to brush off the crushing defeat to cheer on the team for more trips to the playoffs. Then, the curse of Bo Jackson kicked in and it's been misery ever since. Klingler, Big Daddy, Ki-Jana, Akili, Shula, Coslett, and so much disappointment during the '90s. They didn't even make it on TV most weekends because of the NFL blackout rules! The early 2000s gave hope, but of course Palmer got hurt on a deep bomb to Henry. The Dalton-Green era was fun, but there was an ever present sense they just weren't good enough; some dumb playoff penalties didn't help. Anyhow, I lament.

There are more important matters in the world than what the Cincinnati Bengals do or do not accomplish, but admittedly I have wanting them to win a Super Bowl high on my list of things to see before I die. At this point, I'm with you. Will I even see a playoff win?

Did they just go ahead and cut Phillips and send him to get a job at McDonald's or something?

Never, have I seen the same player muff two punts in the same game. Even the worst teams, even the winless Lions and the almost-winless Browns of just some short years ago never had a player do that. That probably never happened to the horrid 90s Bengals. I was ready to give up the game but got enthusiastic when Ja'Marr scored. Still, after the Bengals yet again stopped the 49ers and got a good start for Joe B, they sacked him and I didn't think they could come back.

I gave up, did some other stuff, and then was shocked to find out somewhere else that the game went to OT. Then, I was too afraid to find out the final score until just this morning. What a roller coaster. Oh well. I always tell myself that even if the Bengals went on some kind of dynasty run like the 49ers, like the Patriots, or even like the Steelers, it would make absolutely no difference in my day-to-day life. As someone else said (something to the effect of, anyway); it's easy to be a bandwagon fan for a winner. I choose to be a Bengals' fan.

His ass would be without a job today if I had any say. He had some great returns last year but this year he hasn't done squat. Whenever he is on the field he is a liability. Waste of a roster spot.

Not so fun fact;

That was the same ref that called the Mike Hilton penalty to end the Jets game…

It's happened A LOT of times.

Not taking a jab or anything, but if you watched more football, you would see it happens much more-often than you think.

EDIT* Just went to look it up, DEVIN HESTER, arguably the greatest returner in NFL history, had *8* games where he muffed at least twice (and 2 where he muffed it THREE times).

Totally and it isn't just about yesterday's poor performance. He's had plenty of poor games where he seems indecisive or clueless about when to fair catch or attempt a return. The poor performance in the 49'ers game reflects how much of a liability he is as a player. Time to move on from him.

To be fair, pretty much no one has an answer for Kittle, and we did not have Wilson. Everyone should have known going into the game Kittle would be huge.

So much this. The best thing about a Bengals win is you never EVER see a certain unnamed poster in Jungle Noise the week after a win, whereas the week after a loss he seemingly has every other post.

this is funny .... we all knew this was the priority heading into THIS season after Burrow almost had his career wrecked...so Im not expecting anything different from this team.
More old retreads past thier prime on one yr deals and mediocre starters from this season is all I can expect.
LA C set up Herbert well. Slater was good pick and the O line is doing well for him. I predict a playoff push by LAC
Give Herbert time and he is scary good.
