Andrew Whitworth retires
#1
Long time Bengal, fan favorite, and for 3 weeks the oldest player in the NFL, Andrew Whitworth has announced his retirement at age 40. Sure to be a Hall of Famer in 5 years, Whit has been a class act his entire career

Best of luck for the future to him, Melissa, and the kids

Good for him, but I'm not happy for him winning a super bowl.

Good for him, he pretty much stated he’d have nothing left to prove if he won the SB and he did that. Congrats on an amazing career Whit!

I don't think he's a sure thing for first ballot HOF. I'm not even sure he'll make it to the Hall. I mean, you'd think he would, but so would you also think Big Willie, Montoya, and several others would be in there as well.

Knew he would after the Superbowl. He left the best way you could. Great times ahead for Whit with his fam.

Rock on Whit, great career with the cherry on top. Rock On

Too bad it wasn't with us and a Superbowl win.

When he left, I always said I wanted him to win a Super Bowl as long as it wasn’t against us, but, well……
Still, classy for the Bengals Twitter to thank and congratulate him for a great career. Still played here longer than over there, and best wishes for him and his family. They seem like such great people.
Build a great wall up front to protect Burrow!

Would love it if the Bengals offered Whit a 1 day contract so he could retire a Bengal. Hope Whit kills it in whatever he decides to do next. Coaching? Media? Just being a dad?

Wonder if his family will move back to Cin? Maybe he can join as a coach/advisor or something.

Good for Whitworth, love seeing one of my all-time favorite Bengals get to go out as a Champion. I just hate that he won that Championship by beating the Bengals.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Hats off to Whitworth.
As much as I wanted the Bengals to get their Super Bowl victory, at least Whit got to get one.
Now please Rams, don't be good again Smirk
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

Definitely believe he will be inducted into the HOF.

Yet sadly do not think it will be as a Bengal.

Big Whit fan forever though and will never forget running into him at the St Mathews Chic Fil A

Class act and I'm glad he got his ship. I obviously wish it was here, but happy for him none-the-less.

I hope we offer him a one-day contract to retire here.

He's a legend to all real Bengals fans.

Good on Whit. Always classy, and his family has been as well. Wish (as we all do) things went differently, but very happy for him nonetheless.
