Kadarius Toney

Available for trade from NYG. If they would take their 7th back for him, would you do it for the potential upside?

serious character concern.

If that's all it would take, they'd be fools not to. 7th rounders are, for the most part, throw-away picks as it is. The Giants are going to be looking for considerably more than that I would think.

His rookie season included:

late signing of his contract
oblique, shoulder, foot and hamstring injuries
missed 6 of last 7 games
ejection for throwing punch in a game
bitching about playing time

Toney is not going for a 7th. He looked quite good when he played. Has some attitude issues and struggled with injuries lately season. The Giants will get some compensation for him.

Yeah I saw a game or two and he flashed what he could be. Don’t see them dumping him this quickly for a 7th rounder but I’d do that no problem from our end. Worst case he’s a distraction and we cut him like we probably will any rookie 7th rounder anyway.

Also a 10 catch/189 yard game.

Pretty sure he caught COVID twice.

Not sure I would want the guy, but if all it took was just a 7th then that might make it worth a shot because a 7th is worth basically nothing. That said there's zero chance that they trade him for a 7th.

Seems like some head case beyond the injuries.

For sure. If they genuinely wanted a 7th, then I am all for it. They'll get more, though.

I mean, this situation reminds me entirely of the Isaiah Wilson situation. How often are 1st rounders traded after their first year?

I can only remember Wilson (for what seems like similar concerns) and Josh Rosen (lack of talent) hence my 7th round recommendation. Whats the most anyone would give for him?

If a team is willing to trade away their first round pick from the previous year, I'm not interested. Anyone who trades anything of value for this guy is a fool.

I'd trade them a 7th but that's it.

I bet you’d part with a 4. The risk/reward is too high

Pass. You’re still taking on his first round contract. That money is better spent elsewhere than for a 4th wr with baggage

If he complained about playing time with all the mediocre WRs in NYG, he sure ain't getting more in CIN.
He'd be WR4 and return specialist.

With that said, if he could be attained for a 5th or lower draft pick and was willing to be more of a depth guy on an actual contender instead of a dumpster fire team, it might be worth the investment.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

You all know that I think most of this talk about team "character" is over blown.  But in this case I think it would be a legit reason to pass on Toney.

We don't need that shit.

3, 3.7 and 4.2 over the next three years. The bengals could absorb that, especially if boyd is only around a year or two more.

I still don’t like the fit. But the money could work.

What’s his 5th option? Not that it matters as I don’t think the juice is worth the squeeze

It depends. This year a 5th year 2019 wr would make between 12.5-18.5.

It depends on their production.

We don’t need a WR complaining about targets I’m sorry. Burrow is one of the best QBs at getting everyone involved….we just don’t need Toney or Debo. Our team is too good at WR to force to one guy
