So they're either injured, didn't get starting offers or looking for better offers. So now that the draft is over and people have their depth or starters from the first couple rounds, the lower quality vets will start signing those 1 yr depth or rare starter deals. So imo, Spain and Reiff aren't signed due to wanting something better than a backup job or injury.
There were a lot of OT's, guards and centers drafted in first 3 rounds. This make these vets without a job having to think about taking less money to play in 2022. 2 million is better than zero, so I see some cheap contracts coming on the horizon, but more so as we approach July.
I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.
