#NFL Rigged???
(01-30-2023, 03:13 PM)Fnbs010 Wrote: You obviously werent in the game thread yesterday, close to 80% were screaming rigged through most of the 4th quarter...  i'd say thats a good indication on how your average Bengal fans were feeling

The GameDay thread is a cesspool even when you're beating teams by 30. Hardly a place to glean any insight or pulse on how most Bengals fans feel.

How are officials held accountable

Do they ever review game film with a superior who calls them out on bad calls or completely inconsistent calls.

Do they get graded.

Refs definitely changed this game last night just as much as our o line being dominated changed the game.

Did you express this opinion in support of the Saints in 2018?

So this board, a forum filled with pretty hardcore and some not so hardcore Bengal fans, isnt a good indication of how Bengal fans think and feel about their team?...   thats hilarious!

There's a discord where many of the long term posters and people who don't want to be apart of the constant negativity of the GD thread post, so no, it's not. Half the people posting in GD are never seen actually posting on the forum outside of that thread. I've never seen you post so I get why you wouldn't know that.

But gaming operations don't have money on the line.  They are just taking money off the top.  I mean they could occasionally end up with unbalanced books I guess, but certainly not worth trying to rig something and destroy your cash cow.

I’ll assume this is not a smart ass question but as a matter of fact if you are talking about the pi call the answer is yes. I don’t make entries on saints board but I recall them getting screwed two years in a row but maybe I’m not remembering. I recall a play in second year when the Vikings
te blatantly pushed off the defender for winning TD but no call made.
If you search my posts I’ve advocated many times for full time refs.

I’ve also pointed out that one of my best friends who played 8 years for eagles has suggested many times that officials are too old to keep up with the amazing athletes and that refs should be younger guys who are former nfl players or guys who recently played in college.

Nfl officials are plumb awful and completely inconsistent with in game calls like the no call for grounding on Mahomes but grounding on joe and the failure to call roughing the passer on the chief who hit Burrow in fourth quarter.

Did you actually watch the fourth quarter.

I don’t see how anyone can dispute that we lost game because our o line was dominated and because of a string of really bad calls by refs in fourth quarter.

Differences of opinion can and should be respected but what I don’t like on this board is sanctimonious statements denrgrating those with opinions different from the poster.

Yes, and a bunch who say Bengals fans are trying to hang it on the refs when the Bengals were out played in almost every possible metric and choose to ignore it.

You mean the fourth quarter where the Bengals had two shots and didn't move the ball and threw two bombs with 3 yards to go? Yup, saw that.

If the Chiefs lost, I'm sure they would have pulled all kinds of videos of missed calls against the Bengals. A couple of us even mentioned in the Game Day Thread we saw the O-line holding and it wasn't called. Refs suck. Fine. Saying we lost because of the refs is trying to ignore the dozen other failings of the team yesterday. At best, you think we go to overtime and then what? Not like we showed we can move the ball with the game on the line.

I saw that A LOT, yesterday.  Bad spots forcing the Bengals to run an extra play for half-a-yard or more, when it should have been 1st down.

Tied score with 8 seconds left with what should have been a 60 yard field goal without the penalty - which I agree was the correct call.

That’s not getting outplayed by “ every metric.”

The refs and our o line cost us the game. Both are true.

I thought I was just seeing things.   I swear there were a few first downs that weren't.

It happened all game long. It's one way that the league uses to tip the scales in favor a preferred outcome. It's subtle but effective. Can stall out drives or extend drives very easily.  Ball placement and strategically- timed no-calls were used by Goodell's goons to provide obstacles for the Bengals last night.
Why do all you think the ball placement was poor and in the disfavor of he Bengals all game long?

They moved the ball and scored “ when the game was on the line.”

Who out scored whom in second half?

Chiefs didn’t move the ball with game on the line in their possession right before our last punt.

And they then scored after a 25 yard punt return made possible by a clear and obvious block in the back followed up with a correct call for unsportsmanlike conduct on a play where two bengals were held.

No, Mick, you were seeing just fine.  It's one of the most effective cheating tools. Can increase one team's advantage by 15-20% if done throughout the game.

The refs and our o line cost us the game. Both are true.

All to the Chiefs:
Passing yards, passing TD, Passer Rating, yards per pass, yards per play, fumbles, interceptions, turnovers, sacks allowed, negative plays, penalties, 3rd down efficiency, time of possession, first downs, red zone efficiency.

I said "almost every metric" not "every metric." If you want to dispute a point, try not to change the point someone else made to defend your stance.

The refs, the O-line and several more. People get on the ones not in orange more than anything else.

How did those last two possessions go with the chance to go ahead?

Sure. Games rigged. No sense in drafting or even playing anymore. They rigged it for us last year now don't like us. Sure.

I went and double-checked the rule and this seems to explain the logic here.

Quote:...the passer initiates his passing motion toward an eligible receiver and then is significantly affected by physical contact from a defensive player that causes the pass to land in an area that is not in the direction and vicinity of an eligible receiver;

To me, that seems like a reasonable answer as to why Burrow's pass was IG whereas Mahomes' was not.

You didn’t answer my questions but I guess that is because you are more insightful.

We completely disagree on the refs and I’ll leave it at that.

Isn’t Ronald Torbert & Crew that same refs that screwed us in the SB with that BS call on Logan?
