Idk how to feel about this.
It's easy to see the world in black and white. Grey? I don't know what to do with grey.

Didn't this guy have a good game in the Titans throw away game week 16 this year?

Rotational depth piece on the cheap. What's not to like?

Basham's most productive years were 2019-2021 - 49 games, 17 starts, 8.5 sacks, 58 tackles, 11 for loss. Hopefully, he can be a decent rotational piece for Lou.

Should have put two and two together but had to read that Basham played his college ball for Joe Burrow's father

Now I remember him. Thanks, will have to watch that game again here soon and watch Tarell Basham exclusively.

Not bad, sounds like a good depth signing to me...

I agree, no reason to bash on a guy brought in to be competition and depth. I mean, I'm guessing he signed at or near the vet minimum, with no guarantees.
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Can we get 4-5 sacks out if him?
Can we get a good game or 2 out of him if Trey H has to sit with that shoulder?

Current d-linemen on the roster:
Sam Hubbard
Trey Hendrickson
Joseph Ossai
Cam Sample
Tarell Basham
Raymond Johnson
Jeff Gunter
Owen Carney
DJ Reader
BJ Hill
Zach Carter
Josh Tupou
Jay Tufele
Dominique Davis
Seems like maybe 7 spots should be locks, and would expect at least an interior lineman in the draft.

Give me a good 3-tech to push the inner pocket and at the very least push Zach Carter to be great.

Basham's good for up to a few sacks a season.
Solid rotational piece.
I feel like the DL is pretty set now, although they MIGHT have room for a depth DT upgrade?
DE - Hendrickson (S), Hubbard (S), Ossai, Basham, Sample, Gunter
DT - Reader (S), Hill (S), Carter, Tupou, Tufele
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Nice depth piece. May never be a star but if he can be solid and help the rotation on the line this is a good move.

If they go DL it will likely be because one slid which is very possible. I hoping for some Day 2 WR reaches by other teams.

No way. Not a roster lock, but he's competing with Gunter + maybe even Sample for a spot.

Agreed. We don't have room, but an existing DT/NT could get bumped by a draft pick. Ditto at DE, though the depth there is a bit better and deeper.
But we wouldn't shy away from Kancey, Van Ness, Murphy, or maybe even Bresee if they are tgere at #28. Maybe even Adebewore. Guys like Mazi Smith, White, & Tuipolotu in the 2nd would be a hard look as well.
