La'el Collins is Done
#1
Mans tore his ACL, PCL, and MCL.

So our opitions at RT are:

1. A disgruntled Jonah Williams.
2. Asskson Carman.
3.Hakeem Assdeniji.
4. Cody Ford.

RT is now a NEED this draft.

He got injured Week 14. Not exactly breaking news.

But there are people here who think he’ll be fine by midway this season

It's possible. I wouldn't bank on it. He was mediocre last year. I think his back is a bigger issue.

They might waive him.

I do think we need to draft a RT. That's why I think all the talk of drafting a TE in rd1 doesn't make sense to me.

This seems like an overreaction of a thread.

No team in the nfl has great starters at all five (5) OL positions. Having a camp battle or two is ok. Having the four you listed as all being starters is where we were just a few years ago.

Did he tear his other knee in rehab? I had to check the date of the o/p.

Terrible title.

Old news.

Not funny joke.

You still have time to delete this terrible post. The rest of us have been talking about RT being a need in this draft since we lost to KC.

He defitniely could be, I think he is 100% a couple weeks prior to the playoffs.

He wasn’t even good before the injury. Now he’s more banged up

Think more. Use that noggin

Did I say he was going to be good or did I say he was going to be healthy?  Use your hard head.

Was always. Collins had his surgery in January and he had a bad back that kept him from the Wednesday practices which are the physical ones. Nothing new here.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

The thread may be an overreaction. But our line has essentially been the cause for the end of our past two seasons. Also with the fact that in all likelihood our defense is gonna be worse. I think our oline needs to be that much better if we expect our offense to be good enough to make up the difference.

Maybe draft them to bulk up the OL there and fill in the holes on the defense.

1. This is all old news.
2. There are different degrees of tears.
3. He said the injury is less restrictive than his hip injury
4. He said rehab is on track and he is gonna try to be ready by opening day.

Even without him, we have 6 OTs already signed.

Me too. Plus, I think the time off may actually help his back issues.

OT: We usually keep 4

1. Pro Bowl LT (Brown)
2. Mediocre/average RT who is pouting (Williams) .
3. Backup LT who played well in POs at LT, should improve (Carman)
4. Injured #2 RT coming off big injury, but who has been good over the course of his career. Last year was worst of career, prior to injury. Still an effective run blocker. (Collins).
-------------
5. Below average reserve with starting experoence at OT/OG (Ford)
6. Below average reserve with starting experience at OT/OG (Adeniji)
7. Totally unprocen project with next to no experoence (Smith)

Meanwhile, inside, where we should keep 6:

1. Above average starting guard (Cappa)
2. Average center with experoence at guard (Karras)
3. Below average 2nd year guard who hopefully improves (Volson)
_---------
4. Below average reserve guard with starting experience (Scharping)
5. Totally unproven backup C with little experience (Hill)
6. No one signed

With Jonah here and Collins' recovery proceeding nicely (so far), OT is kind of far down our list of priorities. For mexat least. I am also pretty confortable with Carman if he has to play.

1. Starting quality TE
2. RB2
3. CB4
----------------
4. Interior pass rush/DT/NT depth
5. Edge pass rULush depth (#5 slot)
6. WR depth/speed
7. IOL depth
8. OT
9. QB2
10. Punter upgrade
-----------
11. S
---------------
12. All set: LB, PK, LS
