Pick 7 of these 11 (unless we sign someone else). The rest falls out.
- Tufele
- Johnson III
- T. Williams
- Evans
- Hudson
- Wilcox
- Scharping
- Ford
- Hill
- D. Smith
- Adeniji.
Thanks. If that's the shortlist I'd cut:
Johnson III - good product of our system, but not that important.
Hudson - weak as a blocker and his hands are more of a luxury than a need.
Ford - it was nice to know ya, my man.
Adeniji - this would be the hardest internally just because of the history, but not sure where he fits anymore.

If you cut Adeniji, who is your backup RT until Collins gets healthy? Carman struggles on the right side of the line.
Johnson III may be a product of our system but he looked better than any other DE in that system throughout the preseason. If our system is responsible for his play, why didnt any of the other DE look that good?
I dont know how good Hudson is at blocking but he certainly looked like our best receiving TE in preseason of those Tight Ends that played. I dont know if he makes the 53 but he deserves a spot on the PS.
Ford, you've got no argument from me on that one. He just looked bad. No reason to keep him unless you promised Orlando Brown his buddy would have a spot on the roster or PS.

I have 8 on my 53.
1. Scharping, IOL #4 (G/C)
2. Tufele: DT/NT #5
3. T. Williams, RB#2-3
4. Evans, RB #4
5. Hudson, TE #3.
6. Hill, IOL #5 (I think I took him over Brown/Ford)
7. Smith, OT#4 (I think I took him over Adeniji).
8. Johnson, DE #6

That's 44, 9 to go. Collins on PUP. I'd be shocked if the Bengals cut any of those 44.
II. Almost Certainly on the 53:
1. Bachie, LB
III. Probably on 53
2. Tufele, NT/DT
3. Robbins, P
That is 47, six spots left. I have 25 on D, 19 on O, and 3 specialists.
IV. The Real Fringe = 6.
1. RB: T. Williams
2. RB: Evans
3. TE: Wilcox (I'd keep Hudson)
4. OT: Smith
5. C/OG: T. Hill
6. G/T: Ford (I'd keep DE R. Johnson)
After the last game, my last 6 would be:
1. RB: T. Williams
2. RB: Evans
3. TE: Hudson (team will keep Wilcox)
4. OT: Adeniji (team will keep Smith, best pass blocker of the group)
5. IOL: B. Brown (team will keep Ford)
6. DE: Johnson (team will keep Morgan as 7th WR)

We are identical with your 53. You switched Brown in? I’m with you there.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

I’m reuniting Burrow and Chase if CHE gets released. Sacrificing someone. Williams / Evans.

I assume Smith won't go on IR from the fact that he was left on the list. So with that in mind, he's your RT2. Or LT2. It's up to Carman and Pollack as to how that'll shake out.
I'm not saying the system makes every edge look like Nick Bosa, just saying RJ3 came up through it. Could have been a fluke, could have been him; I'm just saying I don't think it's that important, which is what I meant by not that important.
I don't believe this team needs a receiving TE. Joe will elevate whoever he's got into the role (like he did last year and the year before). Hudson's barely bigger than Tee. I think calling him a TE is almost a misrepresentation. He's what they call an Audentate, which is Gaelic for "a tweener that we don't need." LOL
Just my opinion. We'll see soon enough.

Raymond Johnson III and Jeff Gunter are both guys who have shown great effort. They're just facing brutal competition. Trent Taylor and Stanley Morgan too.
