***Wk 17 GameDay Thread...Ravens @ Bengals***
Gotta state this though, he was carrying that ball WAY too loosely and almost had it swatted out...

This is much more like it. Nice half so far on both sides.

Appreciate the effort.

Timeouts are there for this reason.  Not to save and hide away under your pillow.

In a lot of scenarios, yes Id rather get a 5 yard penalty.   Using a timeout on 1st and 10 early in the third quarter is a waste IMO(just an example)  A 1st and 15 is very manageable and those timeouts can easily come back to bite you

Hue is primping for a head coaching job and trying to be too cute. Nice run by Hill there but c'mon Hue.

Now we are looking a little more like a team heading into the playoffs with some momentum. Let's hope it keeps up through the rest of this game and into the next.

At least Gruden ran a simpler offense.

As I recall on the Bengals.com board, there were a TON of complaints about the predictability of Gruden.

Have the Ravens had a touchback at all this game?
Everything in this post is my fault.

Nugent can't find the end zone on kickoffs anymore? That's his second short kickoff in a row.

Nugent has such a weak leg though.

Is Hall out?

I wish we had a kicker that could kick it through the end zone consistently.

The Steelers looking like hot garbage (again) against a terrible Browns team.

It looks like a battle of who sucks more, honestly.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.

I'd rather put it on the goalline and force it to come out to good coverage that drops him inside the 15.

If you have a vet offensive group timeouts aren't that big of a deal.   Easy to clock it an save time.

Today's players are used to a hurry up from college anyway. Not like the old days where TO were more critical

Yeah, as long as we have that good coverage instead of letting them out past the 20, like say the 26.

But will it be enough to beat the Steelers with their "just beat Austin Davis" momentum???!!??!
