I am seeing that Weathers was an undrafted Free Agent for the Oakland Raiders after playing for Don Coryell at San Diego State as a Defensive End.

He played in 8 NFL games (7 as a Linebacker and 1 as a Safety)

Then for the Canadian Football League BC Lions

He took Theatre Arts and Drama in College which paid off Big.

Man every time someone like this passes I get a dose of reality check on my age. Dude was still in his 40s in Happy Gilmore. I’m finally hitting those ages where I’m basically rhe same age as all the “old” people from movies I watched growing up.

Dude was a pretty solid actor.

Weathers was in The Heat of the Night show on TV as well. RIP Carl Weathers, always liked the guy.

He was just in commercials with Gronk for the Super Bowl, damn.

Yeah, he ends up taking over the Chief's job for Gillespie and then Gillespie becomes the Sherriff later on.

BTW Carrol O'Connor was a great actor, his Bill Gillespie is nothing like Archie Bunker lol

The Heat of the Night is a great show, more people should watch it now a days.
