A team that trades for him should only be taking a $22m cap hit. ($15m base salary, $7m roster bonus).
Makes it a little more interesting, but I probably lean with Sunset there. Lack of ability to stay healthy is brutal.

Why take a 22 million cap hit for Bosa and trade away a draft pick when you could pick up Danielle Hunter in free agency for about the same price and it wouldnt cost you any draft picks?

I guess they didn't give up too much for him, but he's a bum. He has been in Denver anyway.
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

I said I wouldn't.
Also there's almost zero chance Danielle Hunter is going for anywhere near $22m. 16.5 sacks last year and led the NFL in TFL, double digit sacks in 4 of the last 5 years and is an 80%+ snap count kind of guy.
Chris Jones just got $30m/yr. Hunter's going to cost a lot. Remember, Montez Sweat got $24.5m/yr last year, and Nick Bosa got $34m/yr and then we got a $30m cap jump. Look for Hunter to be in the $30m/yr range.

^The facts. Danielle Hunter is likely not on the Bengals radar, as far as signings go. Sad to say, but the cold truth.

Wishful thinking, but with Fletcher Cox retiring I would think that Philly would want to hold onto Williams. They certainly don't want to go into the next year with two brand new starters on the inside.

If he has a good season this year(lets say 5 to 10 sacks witb 15 TFL) and signs a major contract then the Eagles could get a 3rd Rd comp in 2026. The Eagles (IMO) would ask for similar value or greater in a trade involving him.

The numbers I have seen mentioned is 3 years in the mid 60's range but you are probably right he goes for more than that. If the Bengals could get him for anything close to 22 they should do it, even if it means cutting Hubbard

I'd swap them Tee, Browning, and next years 3rd round pick.

I would rather keep Tee then trade for Jefferson. 2 Wrs getting 30 + Million would be hard to justify!

He would be a good get. Wonder what they would want for him?
