Seriously Kevin?
#1. The agent works for Tee, he is not Tee's boss.
#2. If Tee isnt traded he will play for the Bengals.
Tee has made 9M in 4 years, he will not turn down 21M this season.
If Tee decides to sit out, do you know what happens? You probably do not. I will tell you:
A). We roll his 21M to next year's available cap.
B). We can tag Tee next year as his first tag, and tag him again in 2026.
The new CBA makes it extremely onerous on the player if they intend on sitting out.
Unless Tee is traded, he will be playing for the Bengals. He likely sits out OTAs and camp, but that is not a big deal.

The only big deal is his history of soft tissue injuries. It’s a double edged sword if you are him. He really needs to put up the best year yet and without Boyd… it’s very possible.

I would have no issue trading Tee, #18 and #97 for JJ. The only requirement would be that an extension would have to be agreed to. Yes we would be cheap in other areas, but I'll take a team that averages 40 pts.
You guys coveting those 1st Round picks wouldnt mind trading Billy Price, Jonah Williams, John Ross, Dax Hill or Miles Murphy would you?

It's fun to be in these rumors for once. But I have no interest in this one. I love me some Tee. The next time I think WR2 is our problem will be the very first. We got holes and we need the picks to fix them. We can win another press conference in the future. Say, next February in NOLA.

Ironically, we lost the SB to a team that is quite vocal about "Fxck those picks!"
I'll believe this if it actually happens, not a minute before, but the "I like Tee" and Jefferson isn't worth two 1's and Higgins crowd is way out there. Dude is a legit Top 2 player at a premium position.

This trade makes sense for both teams, if you can get past the salary ramifications.

Bengals Fans can think that. However the way Higgins is demanding traded, I think the odds are that we have seen Higgins play his last games for Bengals. Also keeping him and rolling his salary into next season does not help Burrow on pass targets to throw to. Plus I think the idea that a team can keep an unsigned player in slavery year after year will become an issue with The Players Union. Curt Flood in baseball kind of ended stuff like that. In the end, if he doesn't want to play here, do as they did with Carson Palmer and get him to another team. When Chad Ocho Cinco Johnson was on ESPN trying to force Bengals into trading him, I always thought Mike Brown should have traded him that day. What is the point of pulling the slave owner stuff, and having a team of players that don't want to be here, and cause Bengals to be Last Place doormats again. ...Higgins wants out, and I say get rid of him.
Also, I have seen players who thought they were too good to play in Cincinnati. Often they go to other teams and never do anything. Carl Pickins stands out to me on this. I see no point in having players who don't want to be here. That is a good way to turn this Super Bowl team back into Last Place Bungles joke of the NFL.
So on this, I'm for getting rid of Higgins now. I just don't like trading away 2 years of first round draft picks and trading away the future, the Browns proved that is a mistake. On that fans thought trading all those picks for Watson was great for Browns. No, it was great for Houston Texans.

Why is it that people don't think the Bengals can pay Jamar, Burrow and Jefferson? When the Chargers have 1 qb,making 50 million, and 3 other players making over $20 million. But asomehow, the Bengals can't pay 2 wr's and a qb?

Yeah I agree with that to some extent. But I also remember the 2011 "Dream Team" Eagles. And I might be naive but I think our team is already pretty freaking good. Our biggest problem is keeping our guy healthy. We can't win the race when we're on crutches- doesn't matter what kind of crutches we get.
* Mind you, we need to keep the guys we got. Starting with Reader imo. Can't be taking L's all over the place while other teams are getting better.

The Chargers are idiots, we need to pay the dudes in the trenches like they should be doing.

How are they trading away 2 years of first round picks? Higgins was not a first round pick. They would only be trading 1 first round pick. That is #18,in the 2024 draft.I would make the trade.Bengals offense would be hard to stop, with both Chase and Jefferson.Chase, Burrow and Jefferson, all played on the 2019 LSU offense. No one could stop it.Burrow had 5000 yards passing and 47 TD's.That was in 13 games.

There is no "Bengals Fans can think that". I gave you facts.
The franchise tag is the 2nd most important tool to maintain parity in the NFL behind the draft. Fans of a small market team with a broke owner would be so dumb to hate the tag. It was made for them.
The players union just enhanced the tag requirements in the last CBA, you are not keeping up.
Higgins did not DEMAND a trade, he requested one, those are very different.
Comparing Pickens to Tee is amateur at best. Tee is not a malcontent like your examples.
We are not trading Tee for JJ. That would be insane, but if we did, I doubt very seriously it would be Tee and two 1sts, that was suggested by some random on Facebook.

He does not want out of Cincinnati as in he doesn’t like it here. And your slavery take is weird unless slaves made a lot more than I was taught.

Yep and the Chargers keep falling just short because of it as well. Sure they light up the scoreboard against weaker opponents but can't get over the hump when dealing with the elite teams.
