The Official Board Mock has moved into a new era.
Gone are the nights of spending hours waiting on folks to make picks, not showing up for picks, and the Commish to post the picks.
Tonight (4/3/24) Psychdoc, Sunset, and I tested a new method where we conducted the mock via Zoom.
We were able to complete 2 rounds in about 7 minutes and that included trades.
It was great fun and I got to hear just how country Sunset is.
All you have to do is download Zoom to your CPU, Tablet, or smartphone and click on the link provided by Doc.
If you want to join the fun just reply to this thread and we'll go from there.
Just think in a few years when you're old like bfine you can brag that you participated in the first OFFICIAL BOARD MOCK ZOOM DRAFT.

I'll do it. I enjoyed the trial run, and it does move right along.

It was great meeting everyone and talking with you guys. I think Board members WILL LOVE this new format. The entire process will take about 20-30 minutes if that long. We will go 3 rounds.
Please change name to Bengal Board call sign once in ZOOM so we recognize your expertise. thanks!

Yeah, I installed it in about 2 minutes and joined the trial w/ 0 issue and I'm a product of the Kentucky Public Education system. If anyone is worried about online security Yahoo/Gmail email accounts are free. Just create a "burner".

FWIW, this board has its own Discord and voice/video including screen sharing can be done on that.
No need to spin up a dedicated Zoom meeting.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
Sorry for Party Rocking!

Yeah, and it seemed to go smoothly there last year.

I don't recall doing the draft in the discord last year. The benefit of the method Doc showed me last night was that he could facilitate it on an external draft engine such as PFN. He chose Zoom because he's familiar w/ the platform. IDK the capacities of the Discord and didn't know it was a site where someone could "present".
I'd be happy to do it on Discord but would need a practice run first. I'm game for whatever gets folks involved because right now we're at about 3.

I am big fan of Zoom because I teach with Zoom and I like the visuals better.

I'll participate, I'll take Titans and Seahawks if nobody else has asked for them.

I'm obviously down for whatever, but it just doesn't seem to be coming together this year.

Alright, if he shows I'll be prepared to pick up whatever is left.

Looking like that's not going to be a problem.
I'll give folks a little more time to chime in. We'll do it regardless, even if it's only 3 or 4 of us.

I’m in. I’ll verify when I have teams downloaded. I don’t care which teams I draft for.

Give me a day or two to think about it. Work is very hectic right now since we're down to two people, and training a new guy.
