Finally finished the season of Fallout. It was better than the start though characters are still bumping into each other for no reasons but I have a problem with that timegap which is obviously not seen on screen.
210 years is a huge amount of time and it doesn't look like 200 years have passed between the story and the flashbacks.
But somehow, it was decent to the end.

And the fun part was it had Jon Claude who the original MK concept was built around
Did not know that. I have the Street Fighter movie, it is pretty dumb but funny, Raul Julia makes me laugh as Bison, RIP.

I started the new Star Wars series Acolyte that began on Disney+ last week. I made it through the 2nd episode and will give up, it was awful imo. By far the worst Star Wars content released yet by Disney Star Wars. I am sure a few will like it, but it isn't for me. Maybe I have to accept that George Lucas's Star Wars died when he sold LucasArts off to Disney.

Spoiler free Furiosa: I did go see 'Furiosa: Mad Max Saga'. I really enjoyed it, it was a such a good movie imo in this day and age of good movies becoming fewer and far between (mainly due to rise of streaming over last decade). (Far less money from vhs, dvd, and blue ray has hurt the studios bankrolls from pushing out movies like they used to is the main theory imo)
But it was a solid movie all the way around. Anna Taylot Joy did a great job as well as the child actor as well (forget the name). Chris Hemsworth was great too, and well worth going to see. I rate this as one of the movies that is better to see the first time in a theater as opposed to a tv, as some movies are just better in theaters.

I'm giving The Acolyte a try because I think there is a lot of potential for pre Phantom Menace content. But for whatever reason the suits at Disney keep trying to take 1.5/2 hours of movie-worthy content and stretch it out into an 8 episode series. But the first three episodes have been underwhelming for sure.

I finally watched the Sopranos last year and now it’s basically on a loop as background noise in my house when there’s not some kind of game on.
If you like Shane Gillis watch Tires on Netflix. Quick and easy watch with some good laughs.
When my wife and I have time to watch something we usually default to Succession or True Detective S1 (for the 20th time).
And I wish they would bring back Mindhunter!

I've been into the period pieces on Netflix lately, I watched Cathedral of the Sea over the weekend. Was a powerful portrayal of feudal times in Spain, along with the holy inquisition.
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Stranger Things season 5 is taking way too long to come out. I love that series almost as much as Star Wars.

Who has ideas on shows similar to "Vikings" or Game of Thrones" which is a great series? Especially one that has run its course and all seasons are complete?

Check out The Last Kingdom, something like 6 seasons and a movie to tie things up.
Fairly solid, more like Vikings than Game of Thrones.

If you like Sci Fi The Expanse is also a worthwhile watch.... Game of Thrones if Thrones were planets.

I highly recommend The Expanse. You can watch the series on Amazon Prime.

These.
Some others... Knightfall was the History Channels successor to Vikings (Mark Hamill is in season 2). Shogun is a period drama on Hulu 1 season. Wheel of Time and His Dark Materials are more fantasy epics. Isaac Asimov's Foundation on I think Apple TV is excellent.

Another on that is a bit anachronistic and action based is Into the Badlands which has a feudal power structure and is a fun watch.
Warrior is good series as well if you want fighting action and want to see what the series Kung Fu was meant to be...
Heels is a must watch if you've ever been a wrestling fan. Letterkenny is a must watch for Hockey fans, or those who like chippy humor.
