Reds lose tonight. 1-1 on this huge Holiday homestand so far. 14 thousand attendance. That makes 33 thousand for first 2 nights. OK, it was a Tuesday and Wednesday. The attendance better pick up over this Holiday homestand. Every year bigger cities than Cincinnati come to Reds owners and say move the Reds to our city, and we guarantee much more money. Reds owners have turned these offers down over the years to keep First Pro Baseball team ever still in Cincy. If fans don't show up this holiday homestand, then maybe Cincy fans are too cheap to have a team. I'm very interested to see if fans show up over the holidays at GABP.

This team, and organization, are not winners. They bought some fans back last year with the call ups that saw some success, then did practically nothing at the TDL to improve the team and make a post season run. This year, they KNEW they needed a RH bat to platoon in the OF, and instead did nothing. Again, "we know better than the fans" ego and cheapness are costing us wins. Until they start winning, fans will, and should, stay away. Sorry, I can't just blindly support this team. I did in the 90s for the Bengals and how enjoyable was THAT?! This team, was supposed to be an up and coming, possible contender this season, and thus far it's been the exact opposite. This looks like a team in mid-rebuild. **SellTheTeamBob**

Would be nice for Reds to get win #21 this afternoon. Win a series and get more wins over holidays at home. April was good, 16 wins. First half of May was lousy, but a good holiday homestand to end the month would salvage and bail out May. If they can get to 21 wins fast, they can get to 25. 30 wins is out, but try to come close to 30. A win this afternoon would help greatly.
After the 8 game losing streak, if Reds can have 25 or more wins at end of May, that is a good comeback. It's not 30 wins, but it's close and better than the first half of May. In terms of Money Ball. Only 2 teams will be playing Halloween in MLB. So when a small market team gets home games Memorial Day or 4th of July, that's actually more important than playing on Halloween. The Money Ball is for Reds to win some games and have big crowds spending Money from now through Memorial Weekend, and that is Money Ball, the Summer Holidays, not Halloween. The Money Ball Oakland A's GM saying if you don't win the World Series it's a bad season is wrong. Florida Marlins for example one year over spent and bought the players needed to win the World Series, but the lost money huge. They had to dump everybody and they were worst team in MLB for years after over that money loss of buying the World Series. So forget Halloween, Reds having a good Memorial Day Weekend homestand is Money Ball. You play Ball, but you don't lose Money, you make Money. The Florida Marlins found out The NY Yankees can buy The World Series, but The Marlins lost too much money to get that trophy, and so would the Reds if they over spent. The Reds can't afford Ohtani type contracts and are better off without those huge contracts.

Man that leadoff hitter has been killing it for the Pads ever since they traded for him. It's a shame Nick Krall can't get players like that, in-season. We're content to just "ride it out"with what we've got. Need proof? Look no further than last TDL, in a season there for the taking.

Bases loaded no outs, and can’t make contact to score a run. Jesus
Why is Ellie trying to hit the ball out of the stadium. I give up on these guys

It all goes back to the manger, it is his duty to make sure these guys swing for contact in crucial situations. Instead of swinging for a bases empty grand slam, every time they come to the plate. It’s obvious they are not going to change the swings, if not instructed to do so. Didn’t they strike out like 6 or 7 times in a row, towards the end of the game? That is little league crap. No excuse

16 strike outs in a 10 inning game, with numerous opportunities to score a couple of stinking runs, and we can’t even make contact.
Does anyone else see a problem here? All of the pitchers they are facing are not Cy Young. I think the Reds would strike out just as much, if the were playing T-ball. Move on and Get some players in here that know how to make contact.

Over the last twenty games 4-16 over the last thirty 9-21
MLB worst .215 team batting average. We have the 6th most strikeouts in the league 468. Our team OPS is .649 good for 28th placed in MLB. We're 10 games below .500 and 8.5 out of 1st Vs. Dodgers next and there's no cavalry coming. The fat lady is now singing on this season.

To not fire the hitting coach at the bare minimum is just waving the white flag at this point. Bring up the hitting coach from Louisville who’s actually had some success.

This team is so disappointing haha. Despite his good day today, Martini is not a major league quality player. And neither is Mike Ford.
But we're starting both on a regular basis right now. These injuries have absolutely destroyed this season.

Reds lost in extra innings.
Attendance was 16 thousand, so 49 thousand so far on this homestand. Should be huge crowds Friday through Monday Memorial Day at GABP. Reds could use it. Hoping Reds start series tonight with a Win, and hone town fans get some Memorial weekend Wins. GO REDS.

Well that was a short lived lead. A walk, poor coverage on bunt by Ashcroft, a bad throw by first baseman, a fly ball to center that should have been caught if we had some speed in center and fly ball that falls in right when right fielder slows up near the line. Only the Reds can do what the Rds do.

It's unreal. When the bats seem to show up the pitching goes to hell. When the pitching shows up the bats go to hell. Can we ever get a game where they both show up?
