I was originally against bringing VB back; as I thought Battle had did enough to earn the starting SS gig, but it appears I may have been wrong. The signing is really growing on me; I just hope battle sees it as a positive.

I'm right there with you on that.
I was sold on the superficial PFF grade of Battle - which was excelent for a rookie, but when listening to different Bengals beat writers discuss the S position, it became clear that there were things happening that PFF evaluators just cannot see, hear, or know to grade. He's a 2nd round S. Nothing wrong with him needing to develop.
VB being there is going to pay off. I haven't heard much about Stone so far in this offseason. No news is good news, I suppose.
If healthy, I think this Bengals team, and the direction of the roster makeup, could be an all timer.

Nice makes me feel better about Charlie Jones going into this year, hope he can stay healthy.

I was very happy they brought Bell back. Battle is the future of the position, but having Vonn is worth his contract for nothing else than to mentor him. Not to mention the man can still play at a high level.

I know it’s camp and it means nothing but the first few days defence usually comes out on top and from everything I’ve read the offence have been carving them up.
Trust me without knowing you don’t know what restraints are put on the defense. They do that to allow the offense to operate and practice.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

The only reason we got Bell for as cheap as we did was because he was hurt last season. The Panthers are pretty much paying his salary
for us and he is healthy for us. It was a no brainer to bring back Bell with this information no matter how well Battle played as a rookie.
Vonn will only help Jordan Battle.

I've always liked Bell. Said he felt like he had unfinished business in Cincy. Gotta love hearing stuff like that.

He was inches from a SB victory. He has faith in this coach and the team.

Exactly, a player that well versed in how the Bengals defense operates on the cheap is a no brainer.

Same here, ever since the monster hit on JuJu I have loved the guy. We do have unfinished business and he is the ultimate veteran
presence to get us right back to that Super Bowl and win it.

Yes, when we were able to get him back, I was thrilled. The communication was the main reason our Defense was so bad last year.
The coaches talking about how much better the communication is now with Vonn and Geno Stone makes me feel much better about
our D this year. Vonn will undoubtably help our run Defense and will make sure we cut back on those explosive plays. I was a little bit
down on the thought of benching Battle after his good rookie season as he wasn't the problem, and I don't like to punish a player who
played well, but we stacked up with Geno Stone and Bell and are just much more experienced. This will only help Battle.
Battle will still get plenty of snaps I am sure.

Trey and Sam are now being said to be week to week with this caveat per Zac, these guys are known entities and veterans we know what they can do. They will be ready, there is no need to rush them
He said look for the starters to get more involved around the first pre season game which is Aug 10

What’s point in the bubble if we aren’t going to use it on days like today?

I just did a 7 mile run and it was brutal out. 66% humidity and 90 degrees. Certainly different than quick twitch drills… recipe for strained muscles.

Training camp is when your body gets acclimated to being stressed in unpleasant conditions. The first 4 games of the season all have a strong chance for high heat and humidity.
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Hope it is just the heat. But yeah, have to try and get used to it that is for sure. Might want to go to the bubble the next practice if it is
this hot again though. The bubble I heard has AC and everything and can even be really cool in there. Nice to have a bubble for once.
