No surprises. It is good to see Bengals move on from a high draft pick (Carman) just like other teams has done. I wish him the best; he did help us win a road playoff game along the way of his dismal time here.

2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

Carman's heart just doesn't seem to be in it.

Still talented though and I bet another team picks him up and for all we know he plays better for them.

My man Allan George hung in there for a couple years. Smart kid I wish him the best.

Always said Carman will be a starter elsewhere in the league, we'll see.

As to the rest.....Who? and best of luck

RB from Miami was cut. RB Salvon Ahmed

Has some wheels, but I want a short yardage proven TD option

Eagles also cut Uzomah, looks like his career is winding down

Maybe Samaje gets cut from the Broncos?

The emergence of Fig Newton must of pushed George off the team. But I liked what I saw of George last Preseason, haven't watched the
Colts game though yet. Did he have a poor showing?

He would be a familiar and cheap option, but with 100 touches last year, he fumbled 3 times.

People who hated Mixon will miss his ball security. Few better RB's in league. Let's hope our group can secure the rock, fumbles kill momentum and drives.

I thought when he played (the small number of snaps) last season it wasn't noticeable, but for someone who should have been on the bubble in general, I don't think he did much this preseason. If we had better options I can't see how his play would have earned a spot.

He was owned on the right side too vs Bears.

And it appears as if Jalen Davis out played him too since he wasn't cut....yet

Its pretty unusual for the Bengals to be one of the first to announce a lot of cuts especially since they have until the 27th to do so.  I guess they didn't want some of the players sitting and wondering all weekend.

22 cuts to go, many of which will make up the practice squad.  Or I guess 21 with DJ Ivey still on PUP

Renkow didn’t take that job and had every opportunity to

Forgot to put him on the IR list. I think he starts the year on IR as well. If healthy he would have kept the job. Rehkow can steal it if he has some good games to start the year though.

I would say, "Watch him go somewhere else and shine." But no. He just couldn't transition and couldn't stay healthy. Doubt anyone will give him a look unless they are desperate. Zac and team seem to have a good judge of effort and prowess. I think they made a great call here.

RBs we usually keep 4 - Moss, Brown and Williams speak for three of those slots. Not sure who they slot in at RB4 - I had Noah Cain as a possibility but he only got snaps this last game.

They might sign a NT but Tufele has played well enough.

Can you imagine being drafted by your hometown team the team you supported since you were a kid. The chance to make enough money to support your family for the rest of their lives while they watch you every weekend.

Then you turn up out of shape uninterested and unwilling to learn.

Not to mention letting people down who coached you in the area and pushed the Bengals to draft you.

If I were him I’d be leaving Cincinnati and wouldn’t have the nerve to show my face in the city again.

I for one, am completely floored by this news.

I heard from several reliable sources after his first year that he was a home run.

That showing up to camp out of shape year 1, and consistently being outperformed by people who were drafted later or by people that couldn't stay on a roster if they were covered with superglue wasn't an indicator of anything.

Just shocked to see how bad it turned out.  It's not that there were more red flags than a CCP parade the moment he entered the league or anything.

I'm going back to my cough syrup.

I doubt any of the sources were in the building.  Several were not onboard with the pick.

I wish I could remember what game it was. I remember one specific play where Carman got folded in half. He had a good game in his career in the snow in Buffalo after that. But I wonder if he has some type of chronic back issue that hindered his development.

Im surprised Carlos Davis isnt on that cut list. He hasnt done much of anything. At this point in his career, he is already 28 years old. If he hasnt shown anything by now, I doubt he ever will. I applaud the man for following his dream but I think he eventually gets cut even if he made it past this first round.
