53 man roster projection

I like Perine, he played catch with us in the endzone before the Super Bowl game. But I don't like him for 3 million.

Hunt begrudgingly played for $1M last season. He asked for more money, Cleveland told him no. Then, he came out and played like a vet minimum player. No thanks to picking up Hunt.

I do agree about not liking Perine for $2.83M, and if he's cut, he'll likely have the Titans calling and offering at least $1 more than whatever the Bengals offer is.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

I thoughts he played great. He was behind Chubb (until he was injured) and Ford. Hunt had 11 TDs in limited touches including 2 in the playoffs. I understand if fans don't like him because of his past personal issues, but strongly disagree he was bad in Cleveland playing for 1 million a year.

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

PFR has him for 411 yards on 135 carries w/9TDs, that's a stunning 3.0 ypc average. He also had 15 catches for 84 yds, also very pedestrian.

The 9 TDs is more of a credit to Cleveland's OL than it is to Kareem Hunts work.

Safe to say 2021 was a rough oline draft.

S PJ Jules and LB Shaka Heyward are waived. Both are expected to be back on the PS

On Perine, we still have $7-$8 mil in cap space by my best guestimate.

Not a ton, but enough for Perine.

this would be a surprise...but he seems happy for some reason

That would be a surprise. 7 WR's? Irwin "cut" for a day? Or Hudson? Neither is subject to waivers, I think..

All I want to see today is a statement from the Bengals saying they have released Cody Ford.

I’d sooner take a flyer on someone shit like Leatherwood than have Ford I panic someone is going to get hurt whenever he’s on the field.

Bengals seem to like him a lot more than everyone else though.

Ford looks like OG3 and OT4 to me. At least in terms of his apparent pecking order spot. He isn't going anywhere.

maybe he made the practice squad, but it seems too early to celebrate it even if he was given word he would be signed. He still has to pass waivers. But maybe regardless he knows he has a job.

Seems like it's one of those... the only option left vs it being earned.

We really don't have anyone else for that 9th spot right now.

My guess is they invited him to the Practice Squad and he is happy to still be in the NFL on a team

Wonder if the Bengals would have interest in Carl Lawson or if that ship has sailed. Dallas released him.

No matter how bad he plays, Cody Ford has a spot on the roster for whatever reason.

What I am saying is that Ford is 7th. Lee is 8th and C2. Kirkland is #9. Comprende?

Starters:
LT: O. Brown
LG: Volson
C: Karras
RG: Cappa
RT: T. Brown/Mims
----------
Reserves:
OT3: Mims/T. Brown
OG3/OT4: Ford
C2: Lee
OG4: Kirkland

Remember last year Ford was so bad at guard and the excuse was he was out of position, that he was better as a tackle?   and then we see him given a chance at both LT and RT and he got abused there too?  This is Cody Ford.

Look, I am not arguing based on his performance ir PFF ratin or anything.

But Lee is C only and has never played an NFL snap and is a 7th round rookie. Kirkland has never played an NFL snap, and was an UDFA last year who spent all year on IR.

Ford is, atm, ahead of both guys in terms of likelihood to play.

Who cares about the specific order the lineman are in? I see we have 8 Olinemen that has earned a spot. Comprende? Ford sucks. That's el punto... Si? Aburrido....
