But this organization wont do that. They’ll sign 3 average day 3 FA players for $25M to fill the roster.
You're not going to get a defensive player equal to what Tee brings to the offense at this time of the year. It's just not going to happen.

We will just have to wait and see what the old man wants to do.
I imagine he keeps Lou and tries to keep Tee too. Was Palmer out last trade? I can't even remember anymore.
Burrow may have to take him for a long ride in the golf cart.

Burrow may have to re-structure if he wants to win....

I think atp with how trash our coaching is, if you don’t keep Tee you are basically doing the same thing to the offense. The reason Burrow is so good is cause he finally has a run game AND his WRs are going insane. Why in the entire heck would you let a main cog in your offense walk?
But we’re gonna do it…
And when the offense inevitably goes down hill next year it’ll be because we were once again cheap as hell
This is inevitable though at some point.
Good teams cannot keep all their good talent with the salary cap.
They would have had to let at least one of Burrow, Chase, Higgins, Bates, Reader, Wilson, and/or Pratt walk.
This is the entire purpose of drafting and developing well.
You need to be able to have replacements if and when your proven guys leave here and there.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Despite all the (understandable) negativity, this season is far from over and I still strongly believe this team will still make a push for the playoffs. All this trade talk is loser speech. We're barely over 1/4 of the way into the season and half the folks on this board want to throw in the towel. Suck it up! Are you really fans!? Talking about dismantling this team for the future is 90's talk. I'm calling it now. We will be 5-4 the next time we face the Ravens!!!!

Problem is, who trades for him with Adams, Cheetah, and D-Hop also on the block?

#1. The offense obviously needs Tee. He frees up Chase and makes quality plays.
#2. We draft like shit. It is comical to think Duke and Lou will make great picks.
The only reason I would support trading Tee is if their plan is to let him walk for nothing. I would absolutely be in favor of an extension or a second tag.

That's right Sled! It's WAAAYYYY too early to quit on this team. The Ravens are a very good team. Should we have beat them? Yes! But it is what it is.
Our next 4 games are at the Giants (2-3), at Cleveland (1-4), Philly (2-2) at home, and the Raiders (2-3) at home. I know we stink against Cleveland but Watson is terrible. We usually bring our A game against the NFC. And the Raiders don't have a QB. I'm predicting 6-5 at the Bye and all the Debbie Downers will be back on the wagon train acting like they never left.

Cheetah is on the block? Didn't he sign an extension this offseason?

three main reasons you don't resign Chase contract, injuries last few years, and WRs are becoming the most abundant positions to replace. If we lose to Giants, we need to look for a trade

Yeah I’m not talking about a trade. The OP discussed letting him walk, in free agency. I’m also talking about signing a defensive player in the off season.

Every time we start counting up wins against teams we should beat, we lose. There are no gimme’s in the NFL. We never learn that lesson.

Then it's a good thing my prediction has nothing to do with how they actually play. 5-4 here we come!!!!

We will be lucky to go .500 the rest of the season, leaving us with a 7-10 record.

You may be right, but I may be as well. Heck, I watched every game in the 90's and every time we got a lead I'd wonder how it was going to get blown. We're far from the pathetic team fielded back then, so why not stay positive? It honestly doesn't affect my week at all if they win or lose. I have a family, full-time job, and a business to run that are more important than a team I have no financial investment in other than game days and on this board.

I think our D is the worst I've ever witnessed, 90s included.
