Ja'Marr and Trey fined
#1
Trey was fined $16,000 for his roughing penalty in the 4th quarter.

Ja'Marr was fined for making a "violent" action after his 2nd TD...it must have been when the camera wasn't on him

They ended up rescinding the one on Iosivas. The league should probably stop just fining guys for nonsense only to just take them back afterwards.

They should fine Ja'marr for making violent moves on the football field making defenses look like little league. It is not good for the product as a whole.

The NFLPA needs to step up and start fighting this nonsense. I believe these types of fines is nothing more than a tactic to make the NFLPA amenable to opening the CBA up to negotiations in order to extend the season to 18 games.

Violent Gesture? Never heard of that one. The NFL is nothing more than a cheap circus anymore unless you are red #15 or red #87 then anything goes.

He made a little gesture like he just put away a gun in a holster. Or at least I think that’s the claim. Like i said, pretty weak.

I guess I get it. Gun violence is out of control, any celebration involving a gesture of a firearm should be fined. My hope is they are impartial in handing out these fines. I'm sure the players have been made well aware of it and I think it would be a bad look for the NFLPA to balk about fines such as these.

I wonder what the fine is for pretending to hug a teddy bear..

So those celebrations contribute to gun violence? Come on…just more of Goodells weak NFL. (Another good example: Trey’s penalty/fine for putting his weight on the QB)
I still watch the Bengals but I don’t really watch any other games any more unless they are playoff games with teams I am somewhat interested in. Just check some scores and wait until the Bengals play.
I hate the direction the league has been heading. Holstering an imaginary pistol is tame compared to other things kids can see/hear on TV or in their everyday lives. It’s an old gesture that’s been around and never was a problem in the past only now when the world has gone soft.

As long as it's not AT an opponent, I think it's a soft penalty and fine.

Call it weak if you want, but I applaud it. Young kids are impressionable and when their heroes celebrate something great by "firing a gun", who knows the message it sends.

I'd assume they can find other ways to celebrate that doesn't require simulating firing a weapon. Just because there are "other things" doesn't mean we shouldn't try to stop this one.
