Injury updates
#41
Per Zac

Geno Stone is likely to play on Sunday
Orlando Brown will be questionable but he is still day-to-day which is better than week to week.  Cody Ford will start in his place if needed.

New dude Stauber is the on-the-roster tackle backup with Devin Cochran available from the PS.

There were no other injuries of note coming out of the game

They really going to risk Burrow's health to Ford protecting his blind side. I'd rather move Mims and put Ford at RT if we have to start Ford.

Mims has been on the right side all year.  Ford has practiced both sides.  I'd rather them keep a rookie where he is comfortable than have him try and learn the left side on the fly

Jackson Carman is sitting on the Dolphins' PS.
Maybe pluck him off there to be the backup LT?
Gotta be a better option than Ford or Andrew Steuber, right?
Out of all the positions, LT is about the only spot Carman had some success at.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Got to be a better option then Ford for a multiple game replacement at LT, who now Eagles know may start and can study. He survived getting thrown in there yesterday, and earned his spot on the roster for being trusted for emergency snaps. So no shade. I applaud him for stepping in, and keeping Burrow off IR. but I wouldn't go to the well one too many times with him. At LT.

100% on Ford.
Ford is a right-side-only dude.

I am not sure how much LT time Mims has been getting in this offense though. If it's only RT, it might be better just keeping him at RT and picking up a different LT.

I don't know about moving Mims. I was just throwing it out there to highlight my concerns about relying on Ford. Not sure what we can do but hope Brown can play.

I can see the FO rolling the dice on Ford at LT though....

Nothing is torn, he's fine.

I'm not on twitter (x).  We might have googled the same thing, not being familiar with the term "tennis leg."

Try out Tuesday is tomorrow. The window for PS claims also opens again tomorrow. If we put in a PS claim someone will have to be waived to make room on the roster

We will find out soon enough if they are making contingency plans

At least Carman shown he could play LT here, guess I would be fine with it. Just don't know if he has it in him.

Doesn't have the strive to be great. But he might be better than Ford for all we know.

Kirkland played both LT and RT in the preseason games and looked better than Ford at both spots.  For whatever reason this coaching staff loves them some Cody Ford no matter how bad he plays.

Don’t mess up multiple positions to fill one is my usual thinking.

Kirkland is injured, and out for the season.
